it depends on the situation....the against who? where? when in the season? how bad? how close? how we played? and if the season is literally over?
i took the pitt playoff lose pretty bad....
i had to drive 6 hours after the embarrassing jax loss last year....that sucked
losing + injuries tends to be a bigger let down
losing without a starter.....like pennington...normally is expected so not a big letdown
the early season loss last year to the pats...when we came back and made some incredible plays/run was actually an enjoyable loss
and the colts loss was too predictable, but still a good ending
each game is different....and gets different emotions/reactions
the browns game last year was bullshit also...
nothing is better than a win though

It really does depend. When the Jets lost to the Browns last year I was irate simply because the Jets got FUCKED by the refs...when the Jets lost to the Colts last year I wasn't mad because we almost beat a really good team eventually SB champs.

Jets @ Steelers, Divisional round of the AFC playoffs, Doug Brien missing those two game winning fg's from 43 and 47 yards......It simply doesn't get much worse than that.

Agreed. The manner in which we lost is very important towards my mood the next few days. I've learned to accept Jets losses for what they are, and in most cases I can actually do that.

In the case of the Browns game last season, I damn near kicked my TV through the wall.

yeah it really does depend...last year when we lost to NE in the playoffs, i wasnt that pissed cuz i didnt expect to win that game....i was just sad the season was over

but if we lose to the giants this year, i will take it personally...many of my friends are giants fans who talk a lot of sh*t and think their team is the best, so there would be nothing better than whooping their ass in week 5

You get the games in Scotland? And how in the hell did you decide to become an NFL (and a Jets) fan for that matter?

    Just curious.

    Go Jets.

That's ridiculous. There is a difference saying 'talent isn't everything' which still means that it's like 80% in determining the outcome. But saying that talent doesn't mean shit, means that the worst team has a good shot at beating the best team....

It depends on the loss. Was it a loss that we shouldn't have taken? Were we in the game up until the end and simply got beat by a better team? Did they look like they gave it everything?

IF I am feeling particularly bad about it I just log on TGG and watch all the cannibals eating their own young. For whatever reason that tends to soothe and entertain me. :)

I don't mind if the Jets lose simply because the other team outlplayed the Jets or had more talent (see first game against the Pats last year). But, when the Jets play like shit, I get upset (see Jacksonville and Cleveland games last year).

I went ape$h!t over the bad PI call on Miller in the colts game.

They dont get that call, it takes them longer to score, and they dont have time to get the ball back after Miller goes for 6.

I was praying for him to get tackled inside the 5.

When you've been a Jets fan for 30 years you learn to pace yourself on the "losing is not an option" thing.

I get upset when I see bad coaching or management causing losses. I get much less upset over the actual losses on a loss-by-loss basis. Herm drove me kind of crazy with some of the things that happened over the years, however I recognized that there was not enough overall talent for the Jets to win big while he coached.

Mangini I have no complaints about so far. He's pretty much +3 in my book on overall wins because I have no clue how the Jets managed more than 7 wins last year. Tannenbaum I'm watching really closely because he's made too many iffy moves not to at this point.

Like Bobby Valentine, once in a while you scratch your head, but then he pulls out a Thomas Jones,Revis,Harris,Bender,Stuckey draft...........

Thomas Jones is a 29 year old runningback. Bender and Stuckey are both 50/50 to be out of the NFL in 3 years on talent alone.

I think the moves this year have been about 70% bad. They needed to be 70% good for the Jets to gain on a Super Bowl title.

But hey, who knows? Maybe the Jets will win 11 games anyway. That's my hope at least.

Once again, that was a correct call. I see you never took my advice to actually read the Official Playing Rules of the National Football League.

some loses aren't as bad as other, but all loses just piss me off somehow, and if we play the Giants we got to blow them out, because no matter how bad they are their fans will say that they will make playoffs, and if we beat them they are going to take every little excuse and use that to why we beat them.

The Jets HAVE to start 1-1, we can't blow the first 2 games. So make it easier by beating the pats at home, especially with seymour and harrison out, and possibly Samuel. I really think the jets will win this one, chad will have a big game.
