That may be true but at least I know this quote in your profile:

If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. - Bill Cosby

    Wasn't by Bill Cosby

Dude, you're like Sherlock Holmes mixed with the albino android guy from Star Trek. Getting raped over and over again by a gorilla.

People give Sanchez and the Jets way to much criticism. The article is actually a very good analysis, even though it's only a few plays. I think Jet fans are just overly critical because they watch him constantly and nit pick everything.

Lets look at his performance vs the Dolphin on the road in comparison with Joe Flacco last night at home against the Browns.

    Sanchez: 21/45, 306 yards, 6.8 ypa, 1 TD, 2 INTS 34.3 QBR 58.2 Rating
    Flacco: 28/46, 356 yards, 7.7 ypa, 2 TD, 1 INT 63.8 QBR 83.2 Rating

There's no denying Flacco was better, but it's not all that much different. Both guys threw a pick in the endzone (Flacco's throw was much worse), and if the Jets didn't botch that goal line sequence, plus all the drops they'd be virtually even (or if Ray Rice ran in that .1 yard TD instead of Joe). The Ravens and Jets both had a pick 6, and put up the same amount of points. So the question is, why aren't Ravens fans giving up on Flacco? It's the Browns, and they are clearly the worst team in the division. Shouldn't that game be a domination? If Sanchez' performance against the phins was really THAT bad that Jets fans are up in arms and think the season's over, why not the Ravens as well? I see Joe Flacco kind of like Sanchez's ceiling. They are similar players all in all. The Ravens also have a far superior running game and did not have Flacco's #1 target out of the game. Missing Keller is making us look much worse than we actually are.

All I'm trying to say is that the Jets barely beat Miami on the road in the heat plus rain, while the Ravens barely beat the Browns at home with an arguably better defense and offense than us, also in the rain. Why do the Ravens and Flacco get a pass while Sanchez and the Jets do not?

To take it even further lets compare the Dolphins to the Browns thus far

Cleveland is #6 in the total offense and dead last in total defense. Record 0-4
Miami is #13 in total offense and 22nd in total defense. Record 1-2

The teams are very similar, although I'd give the slight edge to Miami based on the better record. So why are the Ravens allowed to squeak by a weak division rival (who's now 0-4) at home, but when the Jets do it to the phins (now 1-2) on the road it means their season is over and the sky is falling and that we'll never make the playoffs? I just don't understand it. It's like people don't realize that division rivals play each other more than any other teams and they know how to game plan for one another and always play tough. No divisional game is a give me, no matter how weak the team seems.

Good points raised about Flacco vs. Sanchez.

Also, Flacco has better weapons at WR. Anquan Boldin was catching every ball thrown his way last night and made some great plays. Torrey Smith and Pitta have been playing well too.

And Flacco also can lean on an elite RB. Teams have to account for Ray Rice and that opens up the deep ball, which Flacco throws frequently with success.

    Greene threatens no one.

I just put this in another thread as a side note I found, but maybe it belongs here.

According to pro football focus: The highest adjusted accuracy percentage (counting drops as completions and ignoring spikes, throwaways, batted passes and hit as throwns) belongs to Matt Ryan at 83.2%. The lowest is the property of Mark Sanchez at 59.6%.

That's a good question, and it didn't say. It was to the side under "Fun fact" and That's all it said.

If the Jets had beaten the Dolphins like the Ravens beat the Browns, there'd be no bitching on this board.
