Surely not LA but just as bad in parts. I see crap on tv like how does anyone work here? I'm like bullsheeeit come to my part of town and I'll show you ha. They don't have areas like the 4 corners of death for nothing.

I just got a vision of AJ Feeley missing a "chip shot" field goal to take the lead with under a minute to go ....

with San Diego's recent propensity to choke late............and the Jets, well .....being the Jets.....

it should be an interesting game no matter what

Talent wise the Charges should win but i just don't really know. All signs point to a blowout this week for the chargers but i just can't predict what they will bring this week really.

i said the same thing about an 0-2 chargers playing in front of the whole country, but at the same time im sure the jets want to make a statement though, after everyone jumping on the bandwaggon before the pats game only to bash them severely for losing.

you know those players want to prove that loss was a sloppy performance. and nothing more. at least if im in that locker room thats what im telling my teammates.

ive said it numerous times in various threads, aside from line depth the talent of this team is no longer a question. its just time to zoom in the microscope on the coaching from here on out.

Jets are great as road dogs.

Someone needs to explain to me, how a banged up Chargers team, is better than the Jets...

Last year in week 3 Favre tied Marino and went 28 for 45 for 369 and 3 TDS. So yes Favre can beat the Chargers but he has only thrown 48 times in 2 games in 08'. I hope the coaches are looking at what worked for Favre last year and comparing that to their secondary this year.

I think the Jets will be competitive. The Chargers D has been suspect.

Sproles is no joke. That guy looks like the fastest guy in the league to me.

The players are not failing. The coaches are. We'll get to see who's the bigger loser between Norv and Eric.

This line is WAY too high, people. I mentioned this in another thread but I live in San Diego and am quite familiar with them. (I would say the only team I know better is the Jets - obviously - and maybe the Pats) It is my humble opinion that they are GROSSLY overrated by the national media. Yes, they are a very talented team who, on paper (and when healthy) could be good enough for a superbowl run. However, they are one of the most inconsistent teams in the NFL. They have a front-running defense which never plays well in a big game and they are a very mediocre home team. (They lose more big games at home than any "elite" team I can think of) While they are always very stout against the run, they have an awful secondary (Jammer is THE most overrated CB in football) And without Merriman, their pass rush is a shell of it former self (still formidable but no longer top notch). If the Jets avoid the ridiculous penalties and unforced errors, they should be able to carve up this secondary and move the ball on them all day. I expect them to greatly limit Thomas Jones and Leon Washington but I could see Brett Favre having his coming out party and throwing for 320 and 3TDs. We'll see. Also, people keep saying the Chargers will be "mad" about the blown call in Denver and will take it out on the Jets. I will say this, if they are spending their time thinking about the Denver game, the Jets will beat them because this Jet team is far too talented to be overlooked. Also, they don't protect Rivers all that well and he doesn't handle a big pass rush as well as people think he does. The only thing we have been very good at in the first two weeks is pressuring the QB. I expect the Jets to give their porous pass protection a lot of problems and possibly force Rivers into a few mistakes. Don't be surprised if we are right there at the end and find a way to steal this one. It should be interesting. I agree the Chargers should be favored at home at 0-2 and desperate for a win but I think getting 9.5 points against a team with their secondary when you have Brett Favre, Is an absolute joke.

Oh and I didn't mention the best part: Their best two players will not be in action on Monday night. I'm telling you guys . . . this game is no where near as one sided as a lot of people in the national media believe.

Lets face it....the 2 Pats' games & the Buffalo games will be Jets' toughest games of the year.

Chargers aren't very hard for Jets' & I expect a win here. Philip Rivers is a west coast Chad Pennington. Giants duped Chargers in the Eli trade.

Jets really need to sign a RB.

I'm well aware of the crowds, I have Charger season tickets so I have seen some the "Charger Fans" in action. There will be plenty of Jet fans in attendance so I'm sure things will be ok and of course not all Charger fans are scumbags. It's not like the Raiders are in attendance although that Thursday night game could be really bad.

I'm starting to get flashbacks to our Monday night game against da Bears in '91. I had high hopes for that one. I thought that would be our "statement game" that year. I was right, just on the wrong side of the statement.

Unfortunately I was in Key West that night and I barely remember the Tuesday.
