I believe it s a reach to consider that Woody Johnson becoming the US ambassador to the UK as a base for planning to move the Jets to the UK a reach. I've followed the NFL fr over thirty years now and the Jets have been my team since 1986. Much of the fanbase in the UK and Europe who watch football as a sport as opposed to a spectacle have established team loyalties. If the Jets were to move I'd not support a UK version. If the NFL established a brand new franchise I'd not switch my loyalties from the Jets and it follows that I'd not switch loyalties to any other franchise moved here either. There may well be a big enough of a market in the south east of England to generate support for a new franchise but in my view it will need to be grown from those who do not have established loyalties which s not gonna happen.
I know champ. But In my heart the Jets lost the real magic after Namath and Shea stadium. They belong in the NY.
Nah I was a STH @ Shea & I think you are forgetting that the NYJs were frozen out of Shea until the Mets completed there possible PO schedule so there were seasons we are on the road for 8 weeks B4 we played our 1st home game. I will not even discuss the bathroom situation @ Shea. Hess did all fans a favor for becoming a tenant of the NYGs at the M/lands. JMHO
Well the magic had stopped commencing with the 69 season when JWN was the QB of the NYJs so u should really step up your replies is MYHO
Is this button permanently stuck on your fucking screen or something ? Why are you showing such anger in every post man ?
LOL. Thanks KO'B. I wasn't sure how to reply to his feedback. I cant quite relate to the validity of his signature "JMHO" with his angry off the wall responses.
I think he's either insane or just a troll. Most of the time I manage to ignore his particular brand of lunacy, sometimes I find it funny, but every now and then he makes me bite, so congrats on that to the mad old goat.
I know - that's what makes me feel guilty sometimes, the fact that he may be genuinely ill or in some sort of mental decline. That's why I usually try and ignore him. Must do better.
