More and more I think we will take Mcfadden, not my first choice by far but he does have the possibility of putting people in the seats if he pans out, I am not totally sold on Gholston either at number 6, and this draft seems like a high talent but no stars draft, it really is a problem when you arent excited about picking high because the contracts are exorbant
Personally, I've never been a McFadden fan and I don't plan on becoming one anytime soon. I don't like him for a few reasons: 1. That Arkansas O-line was dooooooooooooominant at run blocking. Like...DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMINANT. Go to Youtube and watch a McFadden highlight...You can count on one hand the amount of times he's touched before reaching the second/third level. 2. I'm not a fan of a RB with legs like that. RB is the kind of position where I completely buy into the prototypical build. Most superstar RBs are short, compact, with big asses and big legs. It's one reason I like both Stewart and Mendenhall better. 3. His versatility is overrated as fuck. Both Mendenhall and Stewart are more natural pass catchers, and throwing a few gimmick passes is getting way overrated. You can ask most RBs to throw the ball once in a blue moon, it's not some special skill the guy has. 4. For some reason both Stewart and Mendenhall are knocked for the offenses they were in, yet McFadden was arguably in the most gimmicky O of the 3. 5. The guy doesn't strike me as even somewhat intelligent. I don't count this one as much because well...WTF do I know about the guy...but the impression I get isn't good.
Yep...furthering my point..you guys want us to take nothing but lineman in the first round for the rest of time...regardless of value. What ever happened to wanting a well rounded roster w/ depth, versatility and overall talent?
