The scary thing is we don't give anybody a chance to get any better. It took some of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time years to develop and we are crying like babies after six games. Five of the six games we had a shot to win! He is rushing but the confidence will come with time. Everybody else who has had a winning program since we last have will give their players time to develop. I think we should take a page out of all the winning programs over the last 40 years and give Kc some time as well. People complain without even looking at our roster. It is HORRIBLE! Surround CLemens with a team then complain. Until the mean time people should give him time to grow as well. We gave Chad five years and Kellen can't get six games.
The guy has rarely had a pocket to step up and throw in. He is clearly getting flustered by the continous breakdown on the line and I'm betting with Coles and Cotch both not particularly healthy, he doesn't have much space to throw in. He made a handfull of great throws and he made a couple of outright dog throws but for the most part the guy hasn't had any real opportunity to develop any rythme. I just think this isn't a particularly good situation for any young QB.
It's going to get Ugly. They are going to go for at least 50 unless we knock the crap out of Brady and Beli does not want to leave him in to get injury after the game gets away from us.
Well you do remember that Eric & MiKe went on that great QB workout tour before the draft & decided that KC was the best of the lot so if you believe in Eric & Miles talents then you have to believe that KC will be the guy to lead us to the promised land. Otherwise why did we even draft him?
You get what you take. Chad came in and turned a season around right away, so did Tom Brady. This season was too far gone for Clemens to do that but we're no better with him in there. We've beaten the same team we beat without him, and beat the Steelers when Washington returned a punt into FG range, we handed off three times and made the FG.
Ha we could not get near Anderson so getting near TB will be a miracle in it own right. Yes I told my son that at least 50 or so before he eases up. On our side no more then 10
Everyone wrote off the Colts because of injury and they have very quitely started killing teams, playing great D and they also have a running game. In a bad weather game in NE, I'm not convinced the Colts aren't up to the Pats and I also think this hasn't gone unnoticed by BB. I really don't think they even think about the NY Jets. We are just distant road kill to the Pats. BB may be a dispicable A Hole but he isn't stupid. Risking the big prize to rub a 3 win teams nose in the dirt just seems like nonesense to me.
If Kellen would have gotten a shot at Philly, Buffalo Twice, Cincy and the Giants we would have more wins. These games were lost when Coles and Cotchery were both Healty.
I have a better idea - a way to revitalize the interest around Kellen Clemens. We'd have to actually CUT Kellen. Hear me out on this. We cut Kellen Clemens, and then let him resign the day of our first game. He can be sitting up in Woody Johnson's box. Now, the key to this whole plan is that we somehow need to get CBS to hire Suzyn Waldman to do the game. She's going to have to orgasm, much as she did this past baseball season. Imagine it: Waldman: "Kellen Clemens is in Woody's box. And Kellen Clemens is coming back. Oh my goodness gracious. Of all the drmatic things. . . of all the dramatic things I've ever seen. . .Kellen Clemens standing right in Woody Johnson's box announcing that he is back..." I get chills just thinking of it.
With the way KC has played, please the losses would have been worse. Your setting yourself up for major disappointment, I just hope your man enough to admit if and when the KC experiement fails. He is not playing well and like others have said, there is no "it" to him. Dude there is more to being a successful NFL QB than a big arm, and KC has not shown the so called intangibles yet.
The key was it was earlier in the season, so there was time to save it. But Martin was hurt and not a factor until later in the year, Chad made the offense better right away. The change this year hasn't made the offense any better, we still have the same problems that would plague any QB and we're getting the same results in terms of points.
   Nice one, seriously 90% of the KC posts mention arm strength, great asset to have, but doesn't mean jack if your inaccurate and inconsistent.
Actually, I Anderson has only been sacked like 11 times in 435 attempts. I wasn't too confident in us even getting pressure based on how few times he's been sacked this year. For comparison, Brady has been sacked 16 times in 476 attempts. As for people thinking they'll ease up, no way. Bellichick is just enough of an asshole to try for the record for most points in a game, whatever that record is. Hopefully our team shows a little pride and gets pissed off at being such big underdogs. It worked against Miami as the players said they were pissed at being underdogs to a winless team. Let's see if they can give 200% in a game that they're favored to lose by over 24 points.
Chad had a HOF running back and a great offensive line when he came in. "WHAT IF CHAD HAD TO THROW" and had to win a game. Answer is he would go 1-6 and lose his starting job because he is the most overrated Jet in the history of the team. Those are the facts for the 2007 season!
