Wow was Westhoff yelling at Leon? I never saw that. Great play!

I'll put money on it, you'll be seeing other teams doing it in the weeks to come.

It seems the official near the play was not aware of this play either. After Leon picked up the ball and signaled for the flag, the official looked a little confused but proceeded to mark the ball where he picked up the ball, but the other official came running and confirmed with Leon's case. Smart stuff Leon.

Since Westhoff came back the special teams have been like night and day. He is the best in the business and he is all ours. THANK YOU Miami for letting him go.

that happened erlier this season ... i believe leon caught the kickoff with one foot out of bounds and got the call ---- so i don't know if it is coaching or remembering from earlier this season -- great play though

Damn, you beat me to it. Good job. I was honestly going to post that this was a huge play in this game.

That was mostly rage against the refs since I loved Barton that year and gave him a free pass for anything.

I thought that was only true with their D.

Anyway, no one doubted Leon's ability in college, but his size was a big question mark heading into the NFL. That's why he was never projected that high. The injury played a role, but moreso because it made people think they were right about his size being a big disadvantage.

That play was BRILLIANT. Kudos to both of them for knowing the rule.

Probably the smartest thing I've ever seen by a player on the Jets. That may have been the highlight of the game for me. Outside of Jenkins second sack, and Revis' pick at the end.

The credit goes to Westhoff. He's taught this to a bunch of returners.

i wasnt quite sure of the rule either. i was praying they wouldnt call it like a player catching the ball after going out of bounds.

very very smart play, i was definitely proud of him with that play and remembering what he has been taught or from it happening before. i dont recall hte one earlier this year though.

I knew it was a rule when Chad Morton did it for us about 6 or 7 years ago. Very nice to see our players coached well.

leon has been great. i never knew that rule either. smart football player. might be our MVP so far this year along with jenkins.
the reason we got leon was because of the herm trade.
herm for leon..... what a steal!!!!!

It seemed like we had the senior citizen referee crew. They were also confused about the bills spot after faking the punt.

Leon is a heady player and I hope to god he can become similar to Westbrook at some point in the near future

I always thought Westbrook was grossly overrated. Leon is already at his level of talent, we just have to use it right.

Idunno the Eagles wouldn't be in mix without him IMO. But I guess the same could be said for Leon. It will be tough to get him the touches with the way TJ is playing, but I thought there was a good mix today, even though we didn't have the ball in the majority of the first half.

Westbrook is a damn good player and the Eagles struggle without him
