I'd be up for Fitzgerald only if we could lure Brett Favre out of retirement to throw to him. We'd suck like hell but at least it would be entertaining.

Hell no. Fuck a $100 million dollar decoy. I'm good. Dude has been damn near invisible since that SB run. He's not even the most productive on his team, I'd rather trade for anqwan boldin, at least I know he'll produce

If we draft Cooper probably Harvin is gone. He's due 11 mil next season but he'll probably get about half. Fitzgerald is way overpaid.

best case scenario he'd likely prefer a team that he can compete for a super bowl with and be the number one receiver. realistically he'd be fine with a team that he can be the number one receiver. in the NFL parody is the rule and every player knows he could be the difference between a team that was bad without him and good with him.

I really hope not. I like Percy Harvin, and hope he is a Jet the next few years. He's only 29, right? He has lots of talented football left in him. Cooper, Harvin, Decker, Kerley, and Amaro is a pretty good receiving corps IMO.

This won't happen. We have to decide far before the time were on the clock whether or whether not to keep Percy. If we wait until the draft starts to dump Percy we would've wasted a 4th round pick for nothing. It won't be a one or the other type situation Cooper will be on the rookie scale and they both could be on the roster.

    Not even. Harvin is 26.

    Decker is 27
    Harvin is 26
    Kerley is 26
    Amaro is 22

Imagine adding Cooper to that core? Sounds like a perfect recipe for a young QB that can grow with the weapons around him.

On a team with a decent QB he could make a difference. But if you're taking away Harvin and just adding Fitz for similar $$ I cant see it as an upgrade or even a lateral move..even considering Fitz being a team player and Harvin's injuries.

Now if you're giving me Cooper as well and Fitz as a 2 to start and eventual 3 , then I might be intrigued by that idea.

Fitzgerald would have to go to the right team that has an established QB in place....he's not stupid enough to come to the Jets....and hopefully
the Jets aren't stupid enough to take a WR his age along with that contract.

I would be shocked if Cooper gets past the Raiders so it's probably a non issue.

respectfully disagree. fix the offensive line first, or it won't matter whom is back there.

I'd be very interested in Fitzgerald. He brings a lot in terms of intangibles, especially with leadership and toughness. I'd doubt he'd be interested in coming to us, as he probably is concerned most with winning a superbowl. I doubt he is going to command a $100 million dollar contract, probably a shorter contract with a high amount per year.

Fitzgerald is on the downside of his career.

He's the type of guy that a team whose not currently in rebuild mode (like we are) should go get to help them get over the hump.

He'd be a better fit on a team like Indy or actually even the Dolphins who really could use a possession receiver to help out Tannehill..

Both QB and OL have to be addressed, but we would have to trade down the 6th and get someones first and second. Take OL in first and second and hope Petty is available in the second as well. I wouldn't want to take OL at 6, plus we would still have to find a trading partner.

    Good chance Fitz gets release.
His contract is not guaranteed and is too much money.

I would be interested at the right price, but doubt he would choose to come here anyway.
