We'll see if he is done but here he will not be a workhorse which will help and he gets to run behind our OL. We lost faneca and that hurts in the run blocking Dep't but we still have 4 guys who have started together for 35 straight games. We are going to have a good OL and LT should be more efficient than he was the last 2 years in his reduced role.
welcome aboard! now heres a little piece of advice before tgg hammers you, the enter button is your friend!
Not jumping on you hard here but do you just cheer for the best athletes in each sport? When LT retires will you say, cheer for the Vikings and Adrian Peterson?
It sounds like he is just trying to get a rise out of the fanbase to make a name for himself and it's working.
I think that if Joe McKnight can take Leon's scat-back role then LT will primarily be used in passing situations because Greene never even caught a pass last year. Greene has to be the goaline back due to his running style and has the potential to put up great numbers provided he can withstand all the pounding he takes as a physical, violent runner
hubbach is a LaFaggot and should be LaCastrated. Edit: Disclaimer: I do not think all faggots should be castrated, nor do I hate them. Just Hubbach.
That has been the key question with him so far, besides his occasional fumble. Can he stay healthy? We will see. Shonn is the one replacing Jones, LT is replacing Washington, and McKnight is the one replacing Leon as I see it.
Shonn is replacing Jones. LT is replacing Washington and McKnight is the one replacing Leon? Huh? lol Anyway, I feel LT is gonna give us exactly what we expect outta him, he obviously doesn't have what it takes to give us his performance 2-3-4 years ago but what we ask outta him where gonna get. He's the type of player that will play with a chip on his shoulder the entire season.
supposedly he's been playing with a chip on his shoulder for a couple years ... especially at the end of 08 when he sat the sidelines the end of the playoff game with his helmet on and had Deion callin him out the "having a chip on his shoulder" aspect is being a little too played up in my opinion. He's been doing it for a couple of years, but his production keeps freefalling not to say he's going to be horrible this year. I see him getting probably around 500-600 yards with a handful of TDs.
Don't they refer to these June camps as "walk-throughs?" Just seems a bit rash to be sizing LDT up a month before camp even opens. Greene is my keeper in FF this year so LDT just better not be a goal line guy!
I doubt that very much, Shonn will be there go to guy on the GL, unless they want to mix it up a bit. Screen Pass, sweep, etc.....
I think this guy is taking the Mike Fatcesa approach to covering the Jets, get a rise out of the fan base and take the glass is half full. Hell, I never heard of the guy before this article, now I will be paying attention to what he says for laughs.
LT is coming in solely to be a veteran offensive role player. Anyone who expects 20+ carries/100 yds/2 tds on a weekly basis are going to be very dissapointed. He'll likely get 5-10 carries/game catch 3-5 balls /game and will have a TD every other week. As for his current skill set? I see a guy who still has good vision, can still move the chains, pass protects and catches the ball out of the backfield. I believe he can still cause alot of damage in the open field due to his recieving ability, change of direction and 5th gear. Where has his game depleted? On 2 fronts: His first 2 steps and game to game stamina. 10 years ago LT would already be at the LOS after his first 2 steps which made it almost impossible for front 7's to prevent at least 4 yards a carry..and w/ Lt's vision and C.O.D. 4 yards or less rarely happened. But now after 2 steps, he's still a yard or 2 behind the LOS which allows defenders to initiate contact before he can take advantage of his open field skills. He also doesn't have the ability to carry the ball 20+ times a game w/o wearing down significantly.these 2 depletions often coincide as well. You aren't gonna have the same first 2 steps if your body can't stand up to the hits and you're gonna take more punishment if your first 2 steps are not up to par. What does all this mean? Lt doesn't project to be the franchise player here that he was in SD. But his upside could be a similar to what LW was before his injury. That means the occassional spot starter/change of pace type who you want on the field on 3rd downs for multiple reasons and who you also want to get into the open field to move the chains and create some big plays.
I think LT is going to be our main goalline back, but Greene will see some opportunites too. LT still has that nose for the endzone like TJ does.
