I'm very interested in finding out how the whole "cash over cap" issue has panned itself out. This would be so sweet to not only get an extension, but also screw Danny Warbucks and the Redskins.
Does this mean we may actually have a very decent season this year? It would be nice to forget about rebuilding and concentrate on a playoff run. We'll just have to see how things go with FAs and the draft, I suppose...
All this means is we have more room to rebuild...we can be a 8-8 team, but I still expect us to push towards a winning record in 07...
That feeling is trying to creep its way up inside me. I am fighting it though. I don't want to get my hopes up too quickly. I am sticking with the 3 year plan right now.
They don't know yet. NFL will ask NFLPA to push it back 24 hours, some teams want it pushed back until next week because of all the information in this deal.
I heard from my brother that if a deal was struck that free agency would be extended to Friday, but I haven't seen that myself so take it for what its worth...
Yes! I am happy as fan of the NFL. This ensures the NFL as a fantastic product for the foreseeable future. The fact that it helps the Jets cap situation is icing on the cake. I could not be more happy.
They need to start free agency. It's waited long enough now. We did the work. Just because other teams were lazy or scared of the results doesn't excuse that they chose not to do the work.
according to http://jetscap.com/ the jets are at $83,386,138... and with the new CBA agreement the cap should be around 105 mill, so if those numbers are right we might be 21-22 mill under
According to NFL Network, Woody Johnson had serious doubts this afternoon as to whether or not this would get done.
