Yes, and now that they are back we are going to use them as an attack point. I think Badger was the first to call this.
Hey, I made a comment about a what I considered a shitty post. The idea was not to hijack this thread... sorry if it worked out that way. I should have stopped responding.... I will not resond on this again. If it makes you fell better Cato, it's all my fault.
I really liked McCourty and was pissed when the Pats took him (not because he was gone but because it was the Pats who took him) assuming somebody would trade ahead of us to get Wilson. That being said I would have been quite happy with either one. I'm not sure how why so many people are freaking out about NE and Miami having so many picks... they also have a lot more holes and neither Parcells and Belly have done anything spectacular recently in the draft. I'd much rather be in the position the Jets are in as opposed to those two teams (although I think we have the more shaky of the 3 QB's)
Everyone knows join date and not post count is the TRUE indicator of one's e-penis size. Look how big mine is.
One of the things I like about this pick is that not only does it gives us fantastic flexibility on the field, but also next off season. Similar to Edwards and Holmes, If Cro doesn't step up and return to form or doesn't deserve the contract he will most likely demand, Wilson will be able to step right in and fill his shoes. We have the luxury of picking Edwards and/or Holmes along with Cromartie. I prefer to resign Cromartie over Edwards and Holmes because the CB position is much more important than a WR along with the fact that next years draft is STACKED with awesome WRs. A player of Cromarties talent is unheard of, but at least we have all the leverage in the world when the time comes. This selection was made to directly counter the Colts because we will most likely see them in the playoffs this year. Hopefully we see the Saints/Vikings in the SB and this pick will be just as useful. Kyle Wilson will be vital to our SB run this year. I'm AMPED.
I love how he had a Jets hat ready like he knew he was destined to play for us. I can't say enough good things about this pick.
I think Wilson appears to be more NFL ready, and is more of a cover corner, which fits the Jets to a tee. McCourty will be more special teams the first year while adjusting to the NFL. I was on ESPN Boston, and the fans over there are killing BB over the pick.
How 58 fateful seconds three months ago in Indianapolis shaped the Jets first-round draft strategy http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/04/peyton_mannings_virtuoso_perfo.html
Couldn't be happier with this pick, I didn't even think Wilson would fall all the way to the Jets I figured he was gone to the Texans at 20 or earlier.
parcells son in law scott polili? who went to k.c was their draft guru, so grungy bill is all by him self making these picks now
