Kyle Wilson....1st rd pick

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by maynardsmyhero-uk, Sep 30, 2012.

  1. I thought Wilson played well yesterday & that was the consensus in the section I was sitting in.

As angry as I am at the front office...some of you make it really difficult to associate with. Calling Wilson a bust is short sighted & embarassing

I'm not going to call him a bust but there were many plays he got flat out beat on and if Alex Smith completes those, they might have put up 50 on us. To make it worse, he's talking trash after he gets beat.

I think if he hit them our running defense wouldn't have looked so awful lol

Wilson came into yesterday's game with much to prove. I was frankly more concerned about Lankster and Trufant, not that they looked good, and the front seven was somewhere between bad and awful. But Wilson looked the worst of all, certainly in terms of where he should be. Schaub makes those passes that Smith missed, and watch out a week from tonight.

As others have said, what makes it even worse is his gesturing and trash talking. Get a clue you moron.

This kid is a worthless piece of dog shit. no closing speed cant jam. and cant play the ball in the air. All he does is run into receivers cause he cant get his head around. Every time hes hopping up waving his finger. Hes Pathetic

Your embarrassing. You didn't see the flag on his first defense or him constantly getting beat deep.....the only reason it wasn't 57-0 was that Alex smith kept missing his receivers against Wilson......just a coincidence they are bringing in that thug from detroit this week right. Wilson won't be starting at corner after the new guy gets settled.......

This is the kind of post someone makes who read the box score but did not watch the game.

In your section when the QB failed to connect with Wilson's WR, did you all think Wilson had him locked down or that Niners QB just didn't make throws? On TV it seemed that Wilson was burned repeatedly but Niners lacked the execution to take advantage.

Exactly. Alex Smith's lack of accuracy somehow equates to Wilson not being beaten by the receivers? holy shit .

100%. Wilson was outright terrible. I'm not going to give him a pass bc Alex Smith couldn't hit his open receivers down the field time and again. The bubble has officially popped with this fanbase...No more bravado, no more horseshit denial, no more false confidence.

Fans need to really start to pressure this team.

Or maybe the poster in question was basing his opinion on Wilson's trash talking and gesturing. Hey, he must have been playing well to act like that, right?

    Holy shit is right.

Wilson looked good in run support. He's a living example of why you can lose Darrelle Revis and not get destroyed on the defensive side of the field: the few plays where he would really have cost the Jets the ball was overthrown and his failure to cover well was a non-factor.

I'm not sure about the arm-bar early on because I think the ball was poorly thrown there also but he was clearly not going to get beat for an early momentum-sapping TD and he took the penalty.

I think he belongs at FS. He just does not look good with his back to the action. He's small and he's seemingly always a step behind his man.

He always looked like he was high...But i gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Too bad, because he lacks range and is dumb as nails...No doubt he hangs out with Cromartie

How does Alex Smith making unforced errors in overthrowing receivers make Wilson's putrid play a non-factor? Maybe not a factor in the final score so much, but going forward?

As for Revis, the first game he's out the D was awful. You are so committed to your ridiculous Revis hatred that you deny reality.

I love how Ray Lucas, on the postgame show, gave him an F and told him to eat it because he kept doing the "keep feeding me" thing after getting beat
