Its Slauson. Fairly simple to deduce. Greene, stepped in to play immediately, never seriously challenged for his spot. Keller, is Sanchez' guy(was), and was also unchallenged for his job. Moore, knows how long it can take to get the job down, it took him 4 years to become a decent OLine,an and as you pointed out.,,is still looking. Slauson, has always been fighting for a spot since he got here, and they drafted Ducasse behind him....plus the fact that he singled out OL specifically....would seem to narrow it to Moore and Slauson.
This has turned into a Vampire thread. One that will simply never die a quiet death. Hopefully, someone will drive a stake through its black heart...
If Tim would have serviced the old lady like Mark, he could have been the starter. it really is his own fault. Virginity or starter? He chose the former.
Nothing involving Tebow will ever die a quiet death. It's like Favre; only it didn't take Tebow years of actually being a great QB to build his circus.
"Ding Dong Te-blows Gone, Te-blows Gone, Te-blows Gone.......Ding Dong Te-blow's FINALLY GONE......" Sung to the tune of The Wizard of Oz", "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead..." Die thread, DIE......! (my last post/comment/thread/utterance/belch/fart about Te-BLOW!!)
This article only states the obvious. Mark Sanchez was utter dog shit and should have been cut before last season even began. The fact that he was allowed to disgrace himself and the organization game after game is a black mark against the organization. Regardless of what you think about Tebow, obviously he was never given a chance, that is beyond dispute, he never got to start a game, let alone play. The fact is that with how disgracefully Sanchez played last year Tebow and Mcelroy should have both been given chances to start 1/2 way through the season regardless of how bad the looked in practice. It's impossible to look any worse in practice then Sanchez looked in actual games - you can't go lower then 0. That's just a failure of management.
After retirement, I'm expecting Tebow to go at least a decade with 6-figure or maybe even 7-figure deals for advertising items & showing up for events. Better than many HOF players. So there's no reason at all for the media to let go of Tebow. Even if his football days are winding down, the power of his brand is gonna keep going strong.
You can't blame an organization for trotting out dog shit when the alternative is puss infused puke. It's all about the competition.
I see him more like being under the category of "Greatest Players That Were Never Great" for $20 on Jeopardy.
Sanchez threw 26 TD passes in 2011, QB'd the team to two AFC Championship games, but should have been cut prior to last year... Uh... Ok.....
Yes, and the Jets would have been much better off, would have likely made the playoffs with even below average (as opposed to terrible) qb play, and not be saddled with his massive contract. Feel free to search the forums and you will see I was calling for him to be cut after last season. You are like one of the people who was a big supporter of the invasion of Iraq, and still talk about what a great idea it was. History has proven you wrong!
The thing about Tebow and the Jets and the primary reason that Tebow can't get a QB job in the NFL at this point is that it is obvious that if Tebow had just looked like a serviceable QB last year he'd have been on the field by week 6 at the latest. He didn't have to look like a world beater he just had to look like he had something going. When you don't prepare well for your job, and that job is the most important job on the field, and a really bad QB starts over you despite the fact that everybody in the NFL knows he's not good, well that's when you lose your chance to be a QB. Whatever it is with Tebow that keeps him from standing out in practice, that is the thing that has gotten him blackballed from QBing in the NFL. The entourage of thousands hurts him also but the fact that he just doesn't look like a QB is what has him hung out to dry at this point.
