Resign Mccown or sign Bridgwater also trade up for either Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. If they draft Mayfield/Jackson or sign a mediocre QB for big money Cousins/Keenum I'm just gonna start rooting for the Browns.

I agree with re-signing McCown or signing Bridgewater, but why do you prefer Allen over Mayfield? While Allen has tons of talent, he hasn't had a lot of production and his accuracy isn't very good. Mayfield has had tons of GREAT production, is very competitive and a natural leader.

Didn’t say they play alike. I was stating that I think Jackson will transition to the WR position like Pryor did and that he is a smaller version of him. There are people out there who agree with that sentiment so ease up. No comp was made other than body size.

The problem with this is that you don't know for sure if Baker will be there at 6. Some other team (Denver?) may fall in love with him. If the Jets like a particular QB over the others, they should move up and get him. In this draft, a highly rated QB is bound to fall to the Jets at 6. If they're not picky about which one, then they should stay where they are.

He will need to adjust his game, but he will be a qb at the next level. Check the Jackson draft thread, it shows his ability to play in the pocket.

Baker= BUST!!! Watch the game-film.....he is a spread QB in a league with No Defense, career back-up.
Rosen has the most potential to be a 01 yr starter
Darnold/Allen...high upside, but could be busts..
Mayfield/Jackson/Rudolph ....all others ...slim to none

The Jets don't have the luxury of skipping players who "could be" busts. They have to take a risk with one this year.

This poll left out the most likely scenario - trade up to 3 or 4 to draft the QB they want after Darnold and Rosen . Cleveland and NY are not trading out of once in decade spots to draft a franchise QB. The Jets only choices are to hope a QB they want drops to 6 (which could mean they get the 5th QB in the draft after Cleveland, NYG, another team that needs a QB who trades up to 3 or 4, and Denver) or trade up with Indy or Clev to get the 3rd QB drafted this year after Rosen/Darnold. Winning 5 games put the Jets in a horrible position. Three wins and the Jets have the #2 pick. Smart move playing old man McCown for 14 weeks!! That's what happens when the HC coaches to keep his job, doesn't report to the GM, and nobody is taking the long view for the franchise. So who are the top QBs in the 2019 class? Because that will quickly become the goal of the 2018 season after Cousins goes elsewhere and any QB the Jets would've wanted gets picked before 6 and we have to endure the 4th season in a row with a journeyman has been/never was/never will be QB and a team that will "top out" at 5-6 wins if everything breaks right (or wrong if you care about any season after 2018).

What this list show is that investing in a first round QB has usually worked out for the Jets. The Jets first round QBs all took the team to the SB or multiple playoff appearances - Namath, Todd, O'Brien, Pennington, Sanchez.

They need a QB. Cousins is a risk, the rookies are a risk, but they need to pick one and go with it.

Yea but they also need talent everywhere else. They can’t just take a qb because they have to . They have to get it right: swinging and missing will have worse effects than not taking one at all. We don’t have the luxury to miss on high picks anymore

LOL I couldn't disagree more, and I have seen Baker play a number of times. You don't improve every year and put up the accuracy completion percentage along with the YPA and few interceptions that he has if you're gonna be a bust. Get a clue!

I think Allen has the highest bust potential - he has measurables and a strong arm, but his on field performance has not been great. Let someone else take a chance on a player who wasn't even a good college QB.

Many here must have a lot patience because that's what will be needed if they draft a QB at #6
