Well I think picking up rogers would not hurt the team. I think trading coles could though. I feel it would be a step backward, unless your talking randy moss along with some draft picks. I mean what would you give up for Dandy Randy?

Rogers would be good pick up, let him sit for a bit till mangini has his way with him, and about week 6, lets see what he's got.

Im not down on the possibility of adding rogers, im down on the fact that some people here think he can be a great #1 wideout and wanna give him the job based on his college career and his former #2 pick.... i mean if that were the case Ryan Leaf would be set.

Right now I'd say the only player in danger of being traded is Mike Nugent since he is your avatar RobA...the kiss of death.

I dont want Coles to be traded unless we package something for someone ala R. Moss....i cant stand to see Branch come in here and we push coles out..Coles needs to stay if Branch comes in...if we must move coles, move him to make room for a marquee player

    Default Keep Coles
    Coles is a keeper.
Players aren't on the team because they have great personalities.
    That's where endorsements come in.

Trading Coles is like saying trading Pennington.
Imagine the number of good people we could get for Chad.

:shit:  exactly none. which is less than what bolly was worth.:rofl2:

    we're running the chuck-and-duck, rotten-egg noodle-arm offense.

5 yard passes and a cloud of dust, as the receiver gets his bell rung by dbs, lbs, and dl who drop into coverage. :shit:

Nice observation. We're talking about upgrading the WR position (which I'm all for). But none of this changes the fact that noodles will consistently underthrow whatever guys we have out there.

Since you insist on continuing this naive ignorant and incessant attack on Pennington and highjacking every thread with this "noodle arm" nonsense, I am going to do the same to you.

Another brilliant football insight the GG's own Rain Man - Mr NY Jet

Post - "What do you think about the Coles' trade rumor"

Mr. Rain Man- They have "noodle arm" at QB. I'm an excellent driver.

Post - "What do you think about cutting Dreesen and McGlover?"

Mr. Rain Man- The Jets have "noodle arm" at QB. Only 20 minutes until Wapner.

Post - "How are Mangini and Tannenbaum doing in your opinion"

Mr. Rain Man- The Jets have "noodle arm" at QB. Of course, I'm not wearing any underwear.

I love how being critical of Pennington results in personal attacks on this site. Any statements critiquing Penny results in being called "ignorant" or "a clown".

It's not the criticism of Pennington, it's reading the same post over and over and over again. OK, we know that he doesn't have a strong arm. Can we move on to something - anything else? I look for more interesting insightful discussion than every thread being turned into a "noodle arm" fest.

By the way, it is ignorant to contend that Pennington has no value and that Bollinger is a better QB. If Pennington has a healthy season and Clemens takes over next year, does anybody honestly think Pennington wouldn't be snapped up in a heartbeat by another NFL team?

Tight its a simple matter of some people being able to have some insight and read between the lines, and others need everything spselled out for them...me? I can read between the lines....how any of you,jetsin2004 included can read what coles said the other day and just think it was him saying what team guy he is is just mind boggling to me......but I guess some people take longer to catch on....as far as those who lthikn coles is alegit number one, its just not the case....how much longer can one decent season 4 years ago keep you guys believing in this quote unquote great team guy.....who by the way ran outta here as fast as he could when the skins showed him the loot.....you guys with the rose colored glasses are hysterical.....all of our players are so great according to some of you, none oof them need to be replaced...yadda yadda.....so how come we never win?......one last time....Coles is by no means, no means a guy that cant be moved like some of you want to believe....hes an average receiver period. and small

Jets | Trading Coles looks like speculation
    Sun, 3 Sep 2006 07:09:53 -0700

Mark Cannizzaro, of the New York Post, reports New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini shot down speculation the team was looking to trade WR Laveranues Coles. "Laveranues is a member of the New York Jets. I have said several times all the things I like about Laveranues and his toughness, which he shows week in and week out, his ability to catch ball in traffic, the things he does in running game," said Mangini Saturday, Sept. 2.
