I just noticed White has 9 1/4" hands. That sounds small by comparison to other receivers who are over 6' tall. Cooper has 10" hands so the edge goes to him there. Cooper's got big mitts.
I've been saying for 6 months that this draft would be as deep if not better than last years at WR (and been scoffed at) and now they are projecting 11 or 12 Wr's to go in the first 2 rounds. I have also been saying that Cooper is NOT the best WR in the draft, White is among a few who I feel will turn out into better pros. I would take White at 6, I would not take Cooper at 6. Even if we do not go WR with the 6, we can still get one better than any on the roster is the second round.
I think I'm aboard the White train. I'm not so enamored with him that I wouldn't be happy with Fowler or MM or anybody like that, but he's my new favorite. he's just got so much physicality and size and competes for jump balls DAMN well. college corners had the hardest time preventing him from making grabs, there were so many PI calls on his DB opponents just trying to get ahead. this guys got great potential, I'd love to have him next to Decker,JK and any other signing.
I wasn't all that familiar with him to be honest but I've been watching a bit more and hearing people talking about him a bit more and I'm a little more on board with picking him now.
That's the way I felt about Odell last year. To me the best was Mike Evans coming in because that's who I got to see the most and I never got aboard the Sammy hype train. To most people Cooper is the Sammy this year and Kevin White/DeVante Parker are the Evans/Beckham. (Draft status wise, not the way the play or anything else.) I don't think we can go wrong with either Cooper or White.
