It's absurd, you can't even point out when he was ineffective without people taking idiotic shots at him. Call me when somebody else gets us to the playoffs once let alone three times. I'm sick of it.
FYI, anytime I have said or written Kellen, Clemens, or Kellen Clemens; I meant Eric, Ainge or Eric Ainge respectively. Anytime I have used the number 11 in reference to the 2009 Jets, I really meant 10. Sorry for the mistake. I'll make sure to correct it but I reserve the right to determine that I might have meant #7 all along.
I would prefer to go with Ainge at number two. I don't think Clemens has a future with the Jets past this season. Lets get our kids some game speed reps. If some other team wants Clemens next year, let them get him the reps. Hopefully Sanchez can play, and play well, this week. Tampa shouldn't be too hard. They allow an average of 160 ypg on the ground, only 5 ypg less than the powerhouse we faced last night. If Sanchez can't go, Ainge should be able to hand the ball off at least as well as Kellen, and perhaps fumble a bit less. That said, I'm glad my future employment doesn't rest upon this decision.
^ sound post.....and I'm totally on board with it. I'm curious to see what we have in Ainge outside of the preseason.....if Sanchez can't go....give Ainge a chance.
Tampa has been playing MUCH better since Freeman took over. It's not that Freeman is really doing much, but he's definitely not killing them, and looks to be the best QB on their roster. These last few weeks they've been taking teams to the wire (NO game excluded) and they DID beat GB so I'd hate to get caught looking ahead to Atlanta (who needed a last second 4th down TD strike to beat Tampa BTW)... On paper, yes, we should dominate, I just hope the team takes Tampa seriously or else draft-talk will be the #1 forum after next week
I think we have a better chance with Ainge. I don't think we could trade Clemens for a bag of potato chips right now; he looked that bad - completely unprepaired to play; and, IMO opinion, he should have been considering Sanchez was already nursing an injury.
I still remember when the rumour of us offering Clemens and picks for Cutler surfaced......McDaniels must've laughed himself to sleep that night.
If he's going to get time it'll be this week against the Bucs, and if can't beat the 1-10 bucs then we can officially label him an epic fail.
that was probably the worst pocket presence i've ever seen. where i was sitting yesterday was in a section with a ton of jets fans, and you could hear the boos reign down on kellen when he just chucked that ball into the ground.
I never put presents in my pocket either, in Kellen's defense. We usually just hold them or put them in a bag, but never in my pocket. Where's the drum smiley??
