lol ive been a huge Clemens supporter and as much as I want to see him succeed, and I think hes capable of being a solid player; theres just something. He literally looks "awkward" out there. granted some of his bashers wont bring up the fact the line myteriously tends to suck whenever hes in. that aside, its hard to argue with the fact that 3 or 4 yrs in the system and he couldnt beat out Sanchez even if the decision was slightly business influence. we'll see what he can do with some practice. i think his best bet is to hand the ball off and work some PA and rollouts. some easy passes in a double TE set or just trips with keller cotch and edwards. you gotta find SOMEONE. lol we'll see i hope he does good for the teams sake and his own. i think he'll do better than most think but i dont think he'll turn too many heads.
Funny fact: As soon as he was proclaimed starter Turner, Faneca and maybe Hunter all went down with injuries
whats not funny is we cant afford to be without both Turner and Hunter. lol faneca is a given but we need one of those guys
Just thought it would be funny to say after you insulted my question as if it was impossible. Maybe it is, but if he does do that, do you keep him in vs. Atlanta?
if hell freezes over and Clemens puts numbers up like that....then I don't think there will be any hesitation from Rex to put him in against the Falcons.....provided that Sanchez's knee is still a problem. If Sanchez gets medical clearance...then you play Sanchez.
He's supposed to be the leader of the O out there. If his line won't perform for him, it's a direct reflection of his leadership ability. Oddly enough, that's exactly what you see when he's in there: timid
True, but Sanchez has been struggling all season as a rookie QB. If Clemens takes charge this week, I would stick with him down the stretch for a possible playoff birth. Now most likely, he will be okay at best and Sanchez will return vs. Atlanta, but I was just saying if Clemens did great.
unless clemens makes a fool out of all us and looks like an all pro for the entire game it isn't even a question to leave him in for the rest of the season. the type of game you want to see from clemens won't even be possible for him because schotty has shown that he has zero confidence in clemens. he will be handcuffed unless the jets go down by 10 or more in the game.
Don't forget this is the 1 win Bucs, so even a great performance by Clemens will be taken with a grain of salt. If Sanchez is healthy he should be in imo. It's more valuable for him to get experience and finish out the season.
all season? He's looked bad in 4 games. If do you know how great Clemons has to do to go near finishing the season? 5TDs.
the retarded double reverse didn't help just now but clemens has shown that he is who we thought he was.
Clemens has no confidence right now. Thank God for our defense and special teams. I am sitting on pins and needles watching our offense.
touchdown drive. 4 runs, 0 passes. their offense can't move the ball clemens should throw the ball 5 times max in the second half.
So I feel like we can't blame this one on the O-Line... Clemens just isn't an NFL starter. If he gets so flustered with this much protection against this mediocre a defense then there isn't a lot of hope for him.
I thought the bash Clemens band wagon was un-needed at first and didn't want to be too hard on the guy but MAN he is horrible! Accuracy is very bad and he will never start for another team.
Clemens holds on to the ball for what it seems like an "eternity".....his receivers are getting open....but he's too indecisive. And when does find a receiver...he's throws it 10 feet above the receivers' heads.
