you were right, it sucked going to the playoffs 3 of 5 years and winning our 1st road playoff game since Jan '83 and our 2nd AFC East Title ever. I much preferred to be like '99 or '00 w/ no playoffs or like 12 of 14 years before h got here w/ no playoffs.
The question was though was what you posted worth it based on what we now face in 06,07,08,09 & 2010?
Ugh I am replaying to a champ post!!!! How in the world do you think herm effects this team for the next 5 years?? Thats just crazy talk. This team will be total different in the next 2 years inculding this 1
Now talk about silly questions. You keep asking people that, and it seems to me it would be OBVIOUS that any time you can go to the playoffs you want to go. You act like they could have sat around and hoarded resources for the war effort for years or something. Clue #1 - the NFL doesn't work that way. You have a limited window in which you can make a legitimate hard run at a SB win before you have to start retooling and rebuilding. Anytime you have a roster worthy of making that run you do it. Hell, even when you don't have a roster and tools to do it, you STILL do it. Was it worth it? Of course it is worth seeing them try hard and play well. :breakdance:
Exactly. Champ, your question has been answered a couple of times now and you still haven't even provided your basis for the question. Guys like Martin, Mawae, Fabini, Jones, Lewis, etc were going to get old eventually and have to be replaced whether we made the playoffs those years or not. There is no correlation between making the playoffs in 2001, 02 and 04 and whatever is going to happen in 2007, 08 or 09. None. Zero.
Cute, raj. Real cute. EDIT: And, as usual, you ring the doorbell and run. Let me know when you grow a pair.
Well someday you will C that while we made the POs 3 of Herms 5 years the future years are going to be very costly for us which again brings me tto the question was the 3 PO appearances worth the hell we face in 06,07,08,09 & MAYBE even 2010?
This guy has to be one of the biggest....its amazing how balls can grow mighty big from behind a keyboard. I see you are the number one poster/hitter on that site...hows it working out..better than the heavy breathing and then hanging up?
I supported him at first but after the 2004 playoff collapse and this past year I knew we needed a change.
What "hell"? You keep stating it as fact but you've yet to provide any reasoning at all why or how it's going to carry over into the future. Be specific, what from the Herm years is going to affect us at all even after this year? You must have something in mind or you wouldn't keep asking the same question, which has already been answered. Explain to me what will be wrong in 2010 that you can attribute to Herm, then we can continue with this.
Sorry, Seafood, but I've joined Champs team. It's much more rewarding at the end of the day. Huddle up Champ. OK, I say we hit him with a 'bookmark to bounce back in 2010' comment, add a little unprovable blurb about how no one else saw this coming but....us, throw in something about a stock we're not gonna give him, and close with a few SLW's. Whattaya say?
That is the thing you will learn about Champ. If he never narrows it down and gives specifics, he can virtually never be wrong. Kinda like playing psychic. :breakdance: It's all going to hell... the how doesn't make a difference.
He'll be right back at it tomorrow. He can only stay on the Library's PC before he uses up his allotted time.
I used to like the Chiefs, but their fans are asses. They deserve what's coming to them. Don't be surprised if LJ is injured by mid season, and the team is hopelessly out of playoff contention. Not that they ever made the playoffs under Vermeil. Pretty overrated team...so many parallels to the Jets it is amazing.
He's a waste of a reply, because he's a coward troll. Makes a snide post and sits back and counts the replies, because that's all he really cares about. It's really a pathetic thing, too, because from what I've read from some posters that 'knew' him back when I understand he used to be a pretty avid Jets fan (although his debates were apparently just as bumbling) instead of just someone that worships a coach over the team or likes to poke fun at Jets fans. I equate him to one of those nutjubs on vinnytestaverde16.com
