i dont know much about how the cards ran their 3-4, but wasnt dansby the playmaking ILB on that team? if so, why are people comparing him to bart scott?

the two ILB positions may be labeled the same, but they have different resposibilities. if dansby is not the block engaging ILB, he should be putting up big numbers in some category, no?

Dansby's stats last year were his worst ever. They had a new D-coordinator who was putting him all over the damn field. Hell, he was playing some DT in nickle and dime sets.

So idiocy loves company? Just because one uniformed person who has not watched any cards games from last year agrees with you does not make you point any less wrong.

    Overrated Players?

Maybe Karlos Dansby is overrated. Does it really matter? He just made the middle of our defense stronger.Clearly the best linebacker available in free agency and if your gonna look at stats be careful cause we can go down the list of Jets players recieveing all this hype and not delivering. Example: Cromartie,Sanchez,LT,Braylon just to name a few.remember that drop on Monday night? Bounced right off his damn head with nothing but daylight in front of him.Bring back T.Jones and give Marvin Jones a call while your at it. Now that was a hell of a linebacker no matter what color jersey he wore. I give props where it's due. I'm a football fan above all else. When's the last time one of you showed respect to a good player in the AFC EAST other than one of your own? We have had the best division in football for some time now and the kitchen just got a hell of a lot hotter. "Recognize game when you see it"! With that being said I'm sure some smartass is gonna say something stupid. Oh by the way I think Revis is the best cover corner in the league hands down! What now?

He's a good player. He'll do well. He won't make or break wether or not we beat Miami. Case closed.

They spend not only their time but some serious effort hating us. I'm glad that in general TGG has better things to do. And I live down in S. Florida so I know how skewed it really is - Jets fans kinda hate the Phins, Dolphins fans REALLY hate us.

You beat us twice last year.
    Congrats.
    It's a new year.
We'll see you on the field.

Dansby is a good player and stats can be misleading for an ILB in the 34. I don't think there's any questioning this, but I'd much rather have David Harris who is already a better player at 26 years of age. Also, comparing Dansby to Scott is pointless because they have two completely different roles. Dansby has to be a playmaker in Nolan's defense while Scott is basically a lead blocker for Harris.

I hope to Revis Christ that you're not trying to say Jason Cole knows more about Jets' football than the knowledgeable posters on this site.

OH shit Jason Cole agrees with you? You must be spot on with your analysis.

Oh wait, yahoo sports is more worthless than a jtrain thread.
