I will make sure to tell davis harris that he wasnt really an all pro last season, since he got that honor based on his stats.
let me explain something to you tards, lb's are not offensive linemen, dt's or cb's, to were stats dont matter. a linebackers job is to make tackles, dansby was in the middle of the pack. and if there not getting a shit load of tackles, then they get sacks, dansby had 1. and if there not doing those two things, then they usally make an IMPACT, dansby had 1 forced fumble. so again i ask, what the hell is so special about that???? and for those of you that are comparing dansby to b.scott, well b.scott is just a middle of the pack lb. at the end of the season i will make sure to bring this thread back out, and remind you all that dansby is overrated!!!!!!
We never said stats were a bad thing to get, we just said they weren't important in evaluating how good a player is... I was going to jokingly call you retarded before I read this post. That is until this post just made me remember you aren't supposed to call retards retards, that's just mean.
i can't believe im actually gonna respond to this non sense but he was an all pro because of his play on the field... which happened to result in some nice looking stats.
Dansby is a good player and he, along w/ Nolan, will make that D much better. That was a good signing for Miami. What I didn't like about dansby was in the GB playoff game when he had that gift drop into his hands and ran it in for the winning Td when he was celebrating he was pointing to his Captain's "C" patch on his jersey. That isn't what a real Captain/leader does but he's a damn good player- not David Harris good but he's still really good.
let me clear the confusion, i never said dansby sucked, imo for the $ he is gonna make, and the fact that he is not a top tier lb, and for all the hype he is getting, makes him overrated.
The reason David Harris is an All-Pro (2nd team) is because of Bart Scott. Those precious sacks that you feel are so important to the linebacker position? David Harris had a handful last year because Bart Scott cleared his path consistently and with extreme prejudice. That's why he's the highest paid defensive player on the team. Think of Bart Scott as a "defensive fullback." You wouldn't judge a fullback by the yards they accumulate or the receptions or the touchdowns. You judge them by what they enable their teammates to accomplish. That's Bart's value; that's why he's not a "middle of the pack" linebacker. Look man- you keep digging yourself deeper and deeper in this thread. You need to do a little research on the 3-4 defense before you write of it and its participants.
there is no confusion. you made a dumb thread and some really dumb arguments and got called out on it. the only thing you might be right about is the money he is getting paid but that wasn't your original argument, it is one your making to try to safe face.
