Nice work. You think our top tier vets will want to come back if they have other suitors? Sure they want to wash the stink that is the NYJ for a comparable contract. And i think the Lamar Jackson experiment should end. He's God awful.
he's a rookie UDFA that's best used as a dime corner years from now and thrust into the starting role. give him some slack. his mistakes i've seen are all mental and easily coach-able. he can be a solid CB in the NFL with time.
He tackles well enough at least and he's aggressive reacting to the ball. Like @GasedAndConfused said - he should get better with more coaching and a full NFL training camp under his belt. We don't want to force things that aren't there but I'd like to see us try to develop some of these younger defensive backs. At the very least they fly around to the ball and aren't afraid to hit. I'm also thinking Bless Austin is still going to be a better player than he's exhibited. He hits and tackles well also. He might be a good fit at safety.
+1. FWIW I am a little suspicious of Robinson's numbers in this contract year. As a player I really, really like Chris Godwin. That guy runs really precise routes, doesn't do dumb stuff, and isn't the standard diva WR that we often see. I'd love to see him on my team.
I am excited about Austin and hall hopefully fulfilling at least 2 and 3 CB. I think the Jets should look for a high level CB, but those don't hit FA very often. My concern is jets having to overpay lower tier FA to come here.
Kolar helped his stock a ton today on the national stage. I'd bet he's the second tightend off the board now and won't last to round three unfortunately. I'd still love to get him. He's the perfect asset for a young QB. Big body, blocks and knows how to use his size. Hopefully he runs poorly at the combine and falls.
