They need to fix the error of Miller being a third round pick.

    but Rossum returns punts too.

I think in the NFL if your only ability is returning kicks you have to return kicks and punts to have a career.

Oh well, maybe if he focuses only on the return game and not the CB play he'll learn how to return those too.

Miller's also a good fit here because he and Westhoff are so familiar with one another. T-Bird, Kurt and I were at Miller's first TC at Hofstra and got to watch Westhoff work with him from the beginning.

He had the dropsies back then, early on, but got better as time went on. No one works harder with a new kid than Mike Westhoff.

didnt he go out as a WR onceo r twice in 05? I vaguely remember a touchdown catch?

either way, good pick up for KR.

Meanwhile, I wish Leon wasn't hurt. Oakland always plays dirty.

The funny thing is, I HAVE a Justin Miller 22 jersey. I will definately wear it again now!

Also, I like this pickup. Not only do we have another KR, but Miller is fast, and explosive off the blitz. Could see him rushing Henne next week

EDIT: Q:Did anyone else notice this?
    A: Yes!
I like Hutch because he's one of the few Jets beat writers who isn't a complete asshole, but he usually fucks up at least one part of his research in just about every article.

Glad to see Miller back on the team, though. He was complete garbage in coverage but he's a solid KR. This goes back to what Ryan said earlier, that it's going to take three or four guys to replace Washington, not just one.

Woodhead may be good, Miller IS good, maybe great at KR. I would even hand him the PR duties and take the risk away from Leonhard returning punts. This is an excellent pickup. Miller is not a terrible nickle either. He can cover third string WRs if Lito and Strickland get injured again together. I'd much rather prefer Miller over Coleman to take the nickel spot.

it's a dig at Miller's behavioural shortcomings. Revis was a rookie during Miller's last tour of duty with the Jets.......and some of us on the board were afraid Miller's attitude and stupidity would be adopted by Revis.

Miller sucks at PR, but I agree w/ everything else. He's had a lot of injuries though, let's hope he's still fast

Actually, Ty Law was here when Miller was a rookie, so maybe that's where it all started... LOL. The rent-a-whore barely gave him the time of day though. He was more interested in collecting his paycheck and sticking his nose up Herm's butt than he was giving Miller pointers.

I think you are thinking of Marcus Coleman.

I hope so, there has been little to cheer about this year on kick returns.

this is a good move since he was amazing as a KR guy espically since Leon is gone

He didn't have any injuries w/ the Raiders though, did he? He looked pretty fast returning kicks last year so I'm sure he still has speed.

Nothing happened between him and Revis, it was a joke that dates back to Miller's rookie season when Herm had to separate Miller and Ty Law in the classroom because they were spending more time cutting up than paying attention.
