I hear you, but I say let's at least give the "Mangini Guy" thing a reasonable chance. We haven't even played one game yet, so how can you be "sick of it" already? Good grief. Let Tangini have a season or two before we start knocking their affinity for players of character.

I also think this "Mangini Guy" thing is overhyped. Mangini and Tannenbaum both know you can't build a team solely around pantywaists who walk on water. There's a certain physical toughness and meanness they're looking for too. Ferguson plays with a mean streak, for example. I'll take a tough, mean, smart player with maturity over a Ricky Williams headache any day of the week, so don't count me in the "Tired of the Mangini Guy" crowd anytime soon, at least not until I see what they're capable of on the field.

I don't consider Ferguson, Mangold, and Clemens to be mediocre players. In fact, each of these players has a chance to be an NFL star one day.

Well, Dallas didn't draft him. Maybe he had no issues before the Cowboys acquired him.

That indecent exposure story wasn't that bad, from what I know. He came out of a bar and pissed on the side of the building. A little girl was in a car waiting for her father and she saw Rentzel. I had a roommate do the same thing once during a fire alarm. He had been drinking and went outside and pissed inches away from a car where two students sat inside.

Of course, that stuff I posted was from the early 1960s. Eventually the Cowboys had a guy like Thomas Henderson and then really went the other way in the 1990s when they had all sorts of nutjobs including one as a head coach.

I think we made great choices with our first two rounds and getting an extra second next year was a brilliant move. I guess I am just still pissed about the schegel and eric smith picks in the third round. I felt we reached for "character" players when they probably will only be special teams guys. I think taking a gamble on Brooks for a third round pick (Schlegel and Smith's round) would have been well worth the risk for getting an every down linebacker. I am talking about value. I would be pissed if they would have used one of their seconds on him but I felt third or fourth round was where he should go. I guess we will never know maybe they had him if he fell to the fourth round.

Its real hard to judge the mangini types guys at this point of the game. He had to start off by picking foudation type players. I bet we see more talent or marquee type player next years. These guy seem to understand it takes sometime unlike herm and co who wanted to compete every year
