Dorow and Champ...Im turning the lights down low and getting the hell out of this thread. Its great to see young Jet fans have such great mentors to look up to. This thread reminds me of 2 70 year old guys making wrinkling muscles in the mirror at a gym. We are truly blessed to have the two of you on this board...so that you can provide us with all of your wisdom. The ideas you both have for the franchise are to say the least...groundbreaking. Some of us who slam the Jets do so because we CARE about the team. I don't slam the Texans, Lions and Cardinals even though they deserve some good old slammin. Why? Because I don't give a shit about those teams. Dino, of ALL the people on the board, I would figure YOU would understand this.
Ohh I was thinking of someone else with my other thoughts. However I don't agree with you on this even though I love your passon AD. I haven't read every single thread in this topic I must admit. I just don't think that Runyan not signing with us should bring out the crazyness. Let's say for example that the Jets were close to sign T.O, Randy Moss, Ray Lewis, Drew Brees, Edge James, Shawn Alexander or such...... And if we were pretty much talked about on ESPN how the deal was done. Then suddenly the other player signed with the blah blah's. I think that's somthing to get angry about. But John Runyan? It's not the fact of WHO the player is, Dino. In this case it doesn't matter. It was "reported" on NFL Network on Friday that Runyan turned down more money from US to return to the Eagles who offered him LESS. This kind of snubbing is a slap in the face to this organization and an embarrassment. The fact that Runyan is LESS of a star than other free agents is even MORE a slap in the face. This is what burned me when I started this thread. I never blamed the Jets for losing out on Runyan, but it makes us "look" like losers in any case. This was my origianl point. However, Gang Greeners love to hate me and will find fault with anything I say. This is actually quite alright with me. I'm not here to be liked. And persaonally, I happen to know of alot of Gang Greeners who appreciate the fact that I have the balls to say what I feel while taking on all the kiss assers head on.
Yes. Ok. But that does happen in the league. I mean if you think about it it's not so crazy even. Runyan basically wanted to sign with a team who he was comfortable with where he was still paid quite decently but not as much as we apparently offered. It happens.... How many of us where so thrilled when we signd Coles for the "less productive" Moss last season? And Law.... Etc..... And we are under the supposely "better regime" right? So we should be good eh? We should be fine.
