    i think we actually moved up a few picks as well as the trade. Not a bad move

    Not quite. To get Franks, we would've had to pass on JABe or Ellis, b/c he was gone when we selected Becht. I think Ellis and JAbe were much more valuable than Franks.

    It was a horrible trade. We sure got hosed with that one. I'm just glad he's outta here.

    Exactly. This trade was made for that reason. Our versatile blocker was put on IR before his season even started. Or does no one remember we drafted Jason Pociask?

    Dreesen really can't block well, Dearth won't ever see any playing time outside of long snapping. We had a hole in terms of blocking.


    edit: should add he won't play fullback but he might see an h-back type role at times, though I'm sure he'll primarily be used as a blocker in two tight-end sets.

    So basically he is in there to block...WHICH IS JUST PERFECT!
