Yes, he addressed it early. He was explicit about fixing the short term, and the long term.

I thought he handled the conference very well and I think you will see the team run very differently. Rex afterward wouldn't even discuss the Revis situation

It was nice to see a Jets GM do a news conference without acting like the most nervous person in the room.

New guy reminds me of Nicholas Cage.....if they ever make a movie.... that's who should play the new GM.

Loved the press conference and I believe in Idzik. I think he will make the right personnel moves and do what is best for this team.

Also i think it is way to early for him to be talking about personnel moves because like he said a couple times it is his first day in Florham Park

I also loved the way he presented the thorough roster look over.

    He is a keeper

The sad part is, I just dont know what he wanted Idzik to say- that he doesnt want to work with Rex and the people in the organization suck and are disfunction? Yeah, thats the way to handle this.

I wonder if he FORCED Johnson to wear that light green tie? (just kidding)

I'm holding out hope that he's going to be good though. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now and at least I can say I like his approach to the media and how he said he values his draft picks.

The saddest part is that people actually listen to than useless escuse for a reporter as he has some insight into the Jets, or something of value to report. All he provides is his opinion on matters he is disgruntled about, like a whinning little bitch.

Yeah its pretty funny. In reality, he's just another guy. His opinion isnt much better than many here. He acts like his opinion is the truth and the only thing that matters.

Instead of trying to pick up some of the positives from the press conference and instill some confidence in the few of the fanbase that listens to him, he just rips them a new one and makes everyone hate the move and think he's a puppet.

I lol'd when he slipped in "play like a Giant". Fuckin tool.

It didn't matter what he said, Francessa was going to tear it apart one way or another. He just had to pick his angle.

There was no mention of Tebow, A half hour Press Conference without a mention of his name.

    Its nearly over guys.

That suit looks like it was dragged out of the big size store. Ridiculous fitting.

P.S I like what he had to say today. The media is a chor for him. How it should be

It could be a smart move for Idzik not to talk about the future past 2013 and keep a little distance between Rex and himself. He knows Rex is on a short leash and doesn't want to be held accountable for the shitty 2013 season ahead.
