Hall's lowlight was shanking it at the last second vs. Detroit in 2000, de-facto dooming the Jets' playoff hopes.
No he actually would be a jet cuz we would have not taken nugent with only one 2nd rounder. And he was available with our pick
The kick against the raiders in oakland week 17 was his highlight and against the lions week 16 was his low light
Watching Hall kick was like watching Vinny throw. You knew there was going to be plenty of distance but you had to close your eyes in anticipation of the outcome. Hall's kicks were getting shorter and shorter the longer he stayed with us. Didn't mind seeing him go.
I'm not saying you did...But if I could bet on this, I'd say at the time you were probably like look how how this organization is run, I knew the NYJs should of kept LC,CM,JH and RT...It will haunt them for years.
I just spit out my coffee reading this. John Hall was anything but reliable. I've never seen a kicker miss more sub 30 yd attempts than Hall.
Something like that. If the board had not crashed it would have been fun to find my comments at that time. I surely remember saying in no uncertain terms that dumbway was just that dumb especially in the LC incident
Actually, in the end, Bradway comes out on top here in a big way. The Redskins overpaid Coles by millions and then after eating that big bonus, trade him back to the Jets, who end up paying him less then they offered him in 2003 to stay. Hall was an average kicker who was paid like a top kicker by the Skins to lure him from the Jets. After two more average years and a third filled with injuries, the Skins realized that Hall is not worth top kicker money and out he goes. Paying Morton $8 million to return kicks was a joke. How long did he last? One year. He has not been missed. While Bradway is gone, looking back at the decisions he made regarding these players in 2003 it is clear that he did the right thing in not overpaying for average or unimportant players. How you turn the Skins' overpaying for Jet players into a knock on the Jets is beyond me.
You know you are truly amazing since by confiirming they were overpaid by the Deadskns you are agreeing with me that that were less then quality players including LC who you will remember hit Dway up for a additional 1M to resign with us which Dway paid for another damaged goods player
Good, not great. He had a great leg and hit alot of long ones but was unreliable inside 45. He was pretty much the opposite of Doug Brien. I liked Hall but Nugent will be better.
There is no doubt we got the better end of those deals. Bradway made very difficult decisions but every one of them was correct although he did ant Morton back but we lucked into losing him b/c of the biased arbiter.
Hey how come you are still on this forum? I thought for sure you would be following your lover Herm & be a KCC fan now?
