Where is Gary Myers now?He ridiculed the Jets for refusing to give John the big bucks and only getting a center in return for a premiere(his words)pass rusher

He also ridiculed the Jets for passing on Lienart. What a clueless jackass.

I just read on the bottom line that Abraham is having the surgery but will only miss 3-4 weeks...not the season

exactly. He's not done for the year. That radio station got no corroboration.

    It was minor surgery.

whoa, Santana Moss is nothing like Abraham. He's not that injury-prone. He's more explosive than Coles, but Coles has a rapport with Chad.

Anyway, we shouldn't have had to give up Moss to get Coles. Washington was desperate to unload Coles.

The guy misses most of the season even without surgery... They were probably right.

by the way, even 790 The Zone has now recognized that it'll only be maybe a month. But I'm sure Abraham will find another way to get injured after he returns.

We got ripped off in the Herm deal. We got lucky Washington fell to us, but that doesn't make the trade "Herm for Washington."

As far as not signing him long term, props also have to go to Terry Bradway (gasp!), who refused to give him a huge deal, largely due to his history with injuries.

We received a 4th round pick for Herm that turned into Leon Washington, so how is it not "Herm for Washington"???

We got anything for Herm, so how is that a rip off?

because the draft is separate from the trade.

I thought Herm screwed us with his behavior. We lost all leverage.

The Jets had no way of knowing who would be there in the 4th. Herm was traded for a 4th rounder, not Leon Washington. There's a difference.

I just cant believe John Abraham is hurt. The next thing you'll try to tell me is that he has no heart. Of course he has no heart. The guy didnt play in a playoff game he was cleared to play in. After TO he is the ultimate "I" guy. I for one have not forgiven his selfishness and his focus on a new deal at the expense of the team. If the guy is not 100% he doesnt want to jeopardize his career.

The next time this guy tries to play through pain or sickness will be the first time. I am not saying this injury isn't legitimate, I am just saying that Atlanta got what they deserved. I hope Atlanta makes the playoffs and Abe chooses not to play due to a hangnail or something.

I don't understand the constant bashing of the only dominant player we've had on the defensive side of the ball in while. OK, he's injury prone, but it's not like he goes out there and tries to get hurt. He's not even on the damn team anymore.

BTW 4 games of Abraham > 16 games of any current player on the Jets D.

I don't bash the guy besides his tendency to be injured, but I think I much rather have Barrett, Dyson, Rhodes, Ellis. Vilmaor Barton for 16 games than Abraham for 4.

are you kidding me? Abraham signed a big contract. Even a great pass-rusher isn't worth that kind of money if he can't stay healthy.

I admit, publicly and openly, on this board, in front of all of you, that I was wrong in repeatedly suggesting that the Jets sign him to a long-term deal.
