He's a 3rd down back. He's had games where he's been completely neutralized. He's not some all world RB. He's a role player.
Exactly. He's a great fit in the role that Kevin Faulk played for many years in New England. If Faulk wasn't injured, Woodhead would be on someone's practice squad.
So their reasoning was "Hey lets give this guy a contract for no reason at all! When faulk comes back we can just cut him!!"
