Don't need to go outside JetLife Stadium for that insight....Josh McDaniels turned the world upside down to draft our Pro Bowl Punt Protector.

kevin o'connell was last with the patriots in '08 then with jets in 2009-2010. dont you think he would have given all the info he knew to the CS then, the year after he was with the patriots rather than 4 years later? something is definitely in the works

But remember, Sanchez has a back injury, so if he was out, we need a 3rd qb to hold the clipboard

Thanks for sharing Footballgod http://www.newyorkjets.com/index.html Volume ON - Audio/Video 10/17 Rex: Patriots a Big Challenge on D" (19:41)

"Why?????? Does this mean we are thinking about trading Tebow with the deadline approaching???? Why even work him out for what???"

Sounds to me like some one may be traded in the very near future.

    Sanchez?, I don't think so.

Tebow? Possible Wait to see... stay tuned... this is your New York Jets!

On the bold, others have said this, but O'Connell was a Patriot then became a Jet then went to MIA and SD. If he had any info, we got it the first time around when we made him a captain against the Pats

Dang! I thought the original story was much ado about nothing. Very intrigued now.

This is getting confusing. I can't find any stats for O'Connell after 2008...none. Would they really bring in a guy who hasn't been in a game in 3 1/2 years? Even as a 3rd string QB?

Aren't there a thousand other choices?

Apparently he could run the scout team really well.

I think a more likely scenario other than the MJD rerun is some sort of Dwayne Bowe and Tim Tebow trade. Every KC fan hates Matt Cassel to the point they cheered when he was hurt. We need a WR, they need a QB... Not saying I approve of this or thinks its even possible, but its more likely than MJD.

KC traded Kyle Orton. Don't think they want Tebow? :breakdance:

Just read an interesting post at ESPN.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but since were speculating like crazy....if this is something more than a scout squad move, why do we assume it is Tebow involved? Who says McElroy isn't upset about his role and is beginning to grumble?

They claimed him off waivers, he wasn't traded to KC.

A more likely trade is Bowe and Matt Moore.

A real QB is more appealing than a joke.

We also need a WR and have better assets...

I'd rather see Tebow start then Dirty Sanchez. That being said, it would be the worst trade in history (for Jacksonville) if they traded MJD for Tebow.

Something being imminent could be anything, hell it could mean a bad medical report on McElroy causing a move. Or something more radical like actually making Tebow a RB, shoot they couldn't wait to run McKnight to corner when Revis went down. They lost two backs, so obviously they have a need there. Could they possibly trade McElroy for a Chris Ivory-type?

at first I thought you guys were joking but some of you really think the jaguars would trade MJD for tebow? LOL...wow...

Ok I am not saying Tebow won't be traded but for MJD? no way. Unless jets throw in a #1 and even more stuff and at that point tebow just happens to be involved in the trade.

If Tanny wants it, he finds a way to get it done for better or worse.

Tebow for MJD is just silly talk though. The Jags didn't even trump our 4th-6th round offer in the offseason, and MJD would fetch AT LEAST one high pick, plus another mid-round pick probably (think Marshall Faulk for a two and a five way back when).
