I must have missed a step. How did we get from the Jets are working out O'Connell to the Jets are making a trade for MJD?
lol we'd be lucky to get Rashad Jennings for Tebow. And I wouldn't even want him cause he's made of glass anyway. And Woody just guaranteed Tebow was going to be here the next three years, I find it hard to believe something dramatically changed in five days. For all we know McElroy's hurt and nobody gives a **** to find out because he's the third-string QB. I'm shocked people aren't suggesting Sanchez is about to be traded or cut lmao.
i dont know about any trades or anything, prob just tryin to get some pats info, but i will say this... mjd on the jets and wed win the superbowl
Because the Jags haven't sold out a game our came close to a sell out in God knows how long, plus Tebow is from there he's got a bigger following in that part of the country
Just listened to Rex's speech on nyjets.com. At the end of the interview, cimini asked Rex if anything was 'imminent' and Rex looks down, won't answer, then says basically 'I'm not gonna answer that'. Shoot over and watch the latest Rex vid.....something is definitely up. Comes in the last 2 minutes.....
If the Jets went this route it would be to market Tebow. You don't bring in somebody who might be better than him if that's the choice. The odds are really good there are going to be hills and valleys in any move to Tebow. The Jets would need to make sure the fans didn't get too riled up during the valleys and the best way to do that is to bring in somebody capable of playing the game plan but not somebody that people would want doing that over Tebow.
Dude if Tebow goes to Jacksonville this season and starts he will be in major trouble because he doesn't even know their playbook, also the Jets play Jacksonville later in the season, why trade him to a team that you play this year?
The info out of Jacksonville is that they are sold out for the season already. The new owner lowered ticket prices and did a huge amount of promotions and sold the stadium out for the season. He refused to take the 85% out on blackouts. Instead he did what he had to do to sell the place out naturally in the absence of a competitive team. That's a ballsy owner and the fans down there are lucky to have him. For now.
Gene Smith is the only guy left at the top in Jacksonville who has skin in the game with Blaine Gabbert. I suspect that if he left Gabbert would follow pretty quickly.
