Guys - before you throw a trade idea out their just ask yourself "why would the other team want to do this?" Because a lot of the ideas being thrown out make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE for the other team. Sanchez has a terrible contract and sucks dick. You better come up with a real good reason for another team to trade for that situation.
For my idea with Fitzpatrick for Sanchez, I though they both have ridiculous contracts and both could use change in scenery. Fitzpatrick gets a lot of hate for Bills fans.
Why would anyone make a trade and pay big money or star players for a guy who we will dump at the end of the year any way? Or two guys we may dump?
Sanchez is younger version of Fitzpatrick, more upside. Jets can have Fitzpatrick battle for the back up spot with McElroy behind MIKE VICK.
I wonder if the Jets can convince the Blue Jays that Sanchez is a rough pitching prospect and include him in the trade? Failing that, I desperately want ESPN to do a special collection of reactions when Tanny calls another GM with a trade offer for Sanchez. Guaranteed entertainment.
+1 I LOL'd Seriously: Sanchez isn't going anywhere. Vick may come here but its unlikely that Sanchez is being traded as is. He might be willing to restructure his contract to get moved and you should count your blessings if that happens. But don't expect it to.
sanchez trade something tells me that sanchez is dimping on purpose.I just have the feeling that he wants out.I hope this is true for his sake and the jets sake.what he is worth in a trade is another story.goodbye sanchez.
I actually see this as a legitimate possibility. Both players are under-performing and both teams are just frustrated with them. I don't think we could get Vick on top of that, though, so if we did it it would be Fitzpatrick competing with McElroy for the starting job.
Manish has turned into a rag writer. Even if they traded Sanchez, they would be on the hook for an 8 million dollar escalator. And lets be honest, no one is going to "trade" anything for him and his ludicrous contract. PS- Does the janitor at Florham park really count as an inside source?
Here are the realistic trade options for Sanchez: 1. Kevin Kolb 2. Matt Cassel 3. DeAngelo Williams (we probably need to throw in a 7th) Basically, we have to take crap to give away crap. Note these guys have bad contracts as well and they can use a change of scenery. The third one is probably the best for the Jets, but also the least likely.
Yeah hopefully McElroy can show that he's a reliable backup and hopefully decent starter if anything. I think Vick can have a good year or two here just because our OL is better. All we need Vick for is for a couple years or year until eather Greg is ready or we draft another QB. As for Sanchez I think everyone should hope the best for him, he was a part of some of the biggest accomplishments for this team.
