I said it and stand by it. If you can't be excited with what is happening now based on early projections and the overall expectations going into the season. You are incapable of enjoying football. You might be a highly interested observer and follower of the Jets, but not a fan. IMO
I think a lot of the wind was taken out of the Dolphins with yesterdays loss, and there have been whispers of starting Lemon. Even though it's a rivalry game, I expect Miami to be kind of flat. Plus, it'll be more of a neutral site game, 50% of the crowd will be rooting for the other team.
:rofl2: :rofl2: So all "fans" are just mindless robots who only know "Go team!" , "yay there's no way we can lose!" and other rah rah nonsense? You're losing it man.
Being excited for the teams upcoming game against a hated rival with playoff implications is "rah rah nonsense"? Thank you for proving my point.
Everyone deals with things differently. I'm sure everyone is very excited about the game Monday night but some people deal with that excitement by trying to rationalize why the Jets will lose so if it occurs the blow is softened a little and you say "I knew they would blow it". Call it Battered Fan Syndrome. But they're still fans.
To each there own, I thankfully don't know anyone like that in real life. So I will always call them out on a message board. All of my Jet crew was scrambling today to find out where the party is going to be next Monday and make sure they had Tuesday off. There will be no talk off what could go wrong. Only dreams of victory.
