Inexcusable for Toon to go in before Walker. Or Maynard for that matter.

Maynard is not in? How's that possible? His number is retired.

Maynard was in the first class of the ring of honor.

Maybe they only do one class a year and they chose to do it Monday night against a hated rival and maybe Walker had prior commitments. I have to agree though, Walker was probably the 2nd best WR the franchise has ever had so he should have gone in before Toon.

I think my sig makes it clear that I am very happy about Philbin and Grantham being so honored.

I've always believed that Toon was the second-best receiver in Jets history, so I have no problem with him getting in before Walker.

Gerry Philbin should have been in the 1st list.

Are they both still alive? I guess I could look it up but you seem like the authority on those two.

The leader and most important player outside of Joe Willy on the championship team. Defense was better than the offense on that team.

Happy to see Toon there. It's a shame his career got cut short. I would also like to see #85, Wesley Walker there some day soon. What a great deep threat. Thank goodness he was a Jet or else all we would have had in those days for the deep ball was Johnny Lam Jones.

Not putting Walker in the ring this year is a crock of shit. Guy was instrumental in playoff games, was one of the greatest deep threats in the league during his playing days, and still now his yard per catch avg is up there - nearly 20 ypc over nearly 500 catches!!

He lives in long island and teaches in Brooklyn -- he was available.

He'll get in on there at some point. On a side note he commented on one of my facebook pictures a month ago. It was pretty cool!

Was Gastineau too much of an asshole to get inducted? Grade A douche, but a total monster on D.

It was a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and he said that SF was one of his favorite places. I posted that pic a few years ago so he was flipping thru my pictures. I screen printed his comment.. Never losing that!!

Glad to hear this. I think all 4 are very good choices.

Hopefully Wayne Chrebet someday soon as well.

    Quoted for truth.

Walker and Gastineau should both be in.

If Cherbet gets in, the ROH is a bad joke.

i'm most happy to see Gerry Philbin make the ring. He was one of the least publicized but one of the most effective Defensive ends of the time and in many ways was prototypical of the Defensive ends that would come in the 70's and beyond. Although sacks were not an official stat back then he's generally credited with up to 19 sacks in 1968 and around 65 Sacks over his 9 years with the Jets. He, Biggs and Elliott were big reasons the Jets were so successfull.

Also very happy to see Grantham getting his recogniton as well.
