i'm assuming the stadium has three locker-rooms, one for the J's, one for the G's, and one for visitors. if that's the case, do the G's have to use the visitor's locker-room for this game? because they should.
What sad is that moron Jet fans would go to this game with Titans jerseys. I say "would," of course, knowing full well that they still will, and not understand at all when get cursed at (by fans of both teams).
Going to the game with 2 jets fans and 3 giants fans. We better win or its going to be a terrible trip home.
Do Giants fans celebrate Christmas Eve too? It's at 1 pm I don't get how it's so conflicting, unless you're implying the commute is such a bitch that plans could be ruined? Whatever, I just want this game real bad. Huge disdain for the Giants and their fans' perception of this franchise.
Same here re the Giants and their fans. My point is logistically it's hard to get out of a 1 pm game and make it to anything you have to do. I live 25 minutes from the stadium and have a shortcut out, but still by the time I leave a game at 4-4:15 range, get to my car, get out of the lot and make it home, it's 5:30 or 6. We have stuff going on before that Christmas Eve, I have two young kids, can't do it. Most people go a lot farther and don't have a shortcut, so even ruling out tailgating, if you have anything going on you're not going to make it if you go to the game. Same thing applies to Jet and Giant fans, but the Jet fans are the ones with the tickets and on a normal game day would be the majority in the stadium. Now that it comes down to who can make it, whether you're single, Jewish, etc, and don't have a commitment Christmas Eve, that levels it out a lot more and there will be more Giants fans there than there usually would.
I hear you. I'm really hoping there's more Jets fans than Vags in the crowd on Sat though. This one's personal.
I am sure as hell going to the game ...tailgate, game, christmas eve party at 6pm ....gonna be a packed day but i sure as hell aint letting on Giant fan take my ticket. Tickets are high priced ...jet fans looking to make some xmas money.
If it was not XMAS eve and any other Sunday there would be oceans of Giant fans there-----------the fact that it's the eve makes it even worse as people have family commitments and other last minute stuff to do. This will in no way be a HOME FIELD advantage in fact there is going to be as much noise when WE are on offense as when the Giants have the ball. These people they run the Jets wanted prime time games and actually wanted holiday games and they wanted this mess of a stadium---simply amazing :breakdance:
Probably the most inconvenient game of the year for NY'ers. I suspect that we'll see 8,000-10,000 no shows and a 50/50 of Jets to Giants fans.
That's great. At different times in my life I could have made this one but not right now. I did pull off the morning after Christmas flight last year to meet my friends in Chicago at their Soldier Field tailgate for Jets-Bears, got to the Thanksgiving night game, some shit you can do and some shit you can't. I hate missing this game, trust me. If it makes anybody feel better I'm 0-3 lifetime in person for Jets-Giants, was at losses in 1987, 1996 and 2003. Pretty sure 1996 wasn't my fault, however. I saw in the Post that tickets are going for a lot, so I'm guessing there won't be no-shows. Maybe Fireman Ed will get in another shoving match.
Hahaha. I thought I was in for a rough trip to my girlfriend's family's house after the game just because it's an entire family of Giant fans. Either I'm gonna be getting my balls busted all night for the Jets losing or I'll be drinking a beer spiked with Visine.
Not sure if your kidding but I have been on a tour of the stadium and actually the jets and giants share 1 home locker room. Its pretty remarkable because everything is changed out between Jet & Giant home games. Even the cieling and carpets are interchangable for whoever is playing that week. In this case, the G-Men get the vistors locker room, which is a joke compared to what the home team gets.
I dont think that is true. i remember when the whole coin flip for the first game saga went down there were also reports of the Jets losing a coin flip for the prefered locker room. I am not allowed to post links but if you google "Jets Giants locker room coin flip" articles will show up. I am sure the Giants will be allowed to use their own locker room on Saturday.
This is false. They each have one. It would imply the players have to completely clean out their lockers after every game.
For the Jets to have to even ask fans to wear green or show up is admitting there is a problem  I like the idea of the Rex phone call 2 years ago before the Pats game--but for the Jets to do this now or Bart Scott or others saying this place is not as loud or different ( in a bad way ) then the old place--just goes along the lines of what many people have said in 17A's "NEW PLACE PSL related " thread. I hope we win but like it or not there are going to be alot of Giant fans in there saturday.
so... i'm still confused. will the giants be allowed to dress in their own room? because if they can, it clearly diminishes our "home field" advantage. i'm getting indignant already and the game hasn't even started.
I think when you pay for half of a billion dollar stadium or whatever it was, you get to use your own locker room. When it's their home game in four years I'm sure the Jets will be in their own locker room. All of which will have zero impact on the game.
