Jets vs. Raiders - 2014 Week 1

The Vick pass play did work - it was just poor execution on the pass. WR was wide open for a TD.

 

Offense I expected to be bad, but Defense I thought would be much better

 

i should be impressed with the defense, giving up a td where carr started on the 30 yard line, but i'm not because he's a rookie and all odds are against him. we should be dominating carr, this just shows how weak the secondary is and not giving our pass rushers enough time to get pressure

i am slightly more impressed with the offense (decker had a good catch yeah!), we are just making stupid mistakes. the last drive shows that when we arent having calls against us, we can move the ball down the field in a flash. geno looks much more comfortable throwing, and he actually looked pretty good on the drive where he fumbled, but hopefully he takes that experience and learns. this is the game to learn with this. cumberland and kerley are having pretty good games, i'd like to target decker a bit more and get quick first downs

 

We moved the ball pretty well.
This CJ guy is pretty good.
So is Ivory.
Guys are getting open.
Geno looks a LOT better in the pocket.

If we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot, we'll be fine.

also we're lucky we're playing the raiders, we play any other team and we get whooped

I want Geno to be a playmaker. If he makes a mistake I don't care just as long as he makes plays and lead scoring drives.

 

nothing is a gimme this season, and thats good and bad for us since we're right in the middle

Exactly, he made 2 mistakes im sure he wants to take back but hes out there making plays and moving the chains.

 

Watching this game reminds me how stressful being a Jet fan can be.

 

Nothing is very routine and easy with our Jets. Expect things to be less hectic 2nd half though.

 

Yards indicate we're definitely outmatching them on both fronts...issue is that we haven't converted that offense into as many points as we should have.
