If we lose next week its definately not over. We would need to win a lot of games after tho starting with the Dolphins.

But lets beat the damn Patriots. I watched the Jets go from a team that couldn't beat a playoff team last year to a team that was 30 minutes away from the Super Bowl in a matter of a couple weeks. I think we can easily learn from our mistakes yesterday.

I'm still not expecting a win tho. If we lose we lose.

Revis has to stay on Moss. Everytime they ran a go route against Cro there was a flag. Last I check the Pats like to throw deep to Moss. If Cro stays on him single coverage we could easily see 7 pass interference penalties.

About 10-15% of teams that start out 0-2 have eventually reached the playoffs.

    It's not just 0-2.

    It's 0-2 Conference
    It's 0-1 Division.

    Tiebreakers are VERY important.

Don't just worry about Welker, I'm worried about all three of NE's TEs. Brady is going to chew us up on the short game. Quick release during a Safety blitz and hello 15 yards.

Schotty and Sanchez better get it together and come up with a whole battery of plays Belechick hasn't seen us do.

  6. Talent wise...The jets are even if not superior to the Pats. But when it comes to discipline and in game situations...The jets are not even close to the Pats. I don't see this going well...and will likely set the stage for the most dissapointing season in Jets history.

    Then again, maybe not.

Cromartie on Welker? Wes might have 50 catches before the half.

Here are the things you guys need to realize:

Flacco is not Brady. If Brady was the Baltimore QB, they would have put up 30 minimum.

Nobody can cover Welker. The Pats have more weapons than Baltimore.

The Jets would be better off playing zone and mixing in some blitzes. That way perhaps Cromartie can get a few picks.

If yesterday was indicative, your vaunted defense is going to get lit up on Sunday if they employ that gameplan against the Pats.

For those not familiar with the Pats weapons for the sake of this discussion ..

    Moss: WR
    Tate: WR
    Welker: Slot WR
    Julian E: Slot WR
    Gronk: TE
    Hernandez: TE
    Crump: TE
    Faulk: 3rd Down Specialist ..

Now, the unknown here is the TE's .. How are the Jets matching up with the TEs is in my opinion keys to the game ..

and what was that gameplan? to shut down the offense?

The Ravens' offense was pretty much nonexistent, excluding the penalties.

Say what you want of our offense, but our defense is not something you wanna take lightly.

we really shouldnt be discussing this so close to the most pathetic game I have ever seen. Seriously that was one of the worst football games ever- all field goals and a TD "drive" that included 70 yards of penalties.

couple that with the Pats playing one of the best opening games in awhile. They crushed the Bengals and look better than ever.

We better put Revis on Welker because Cromartie and Wilson can't get it done. I would rather see Moss burn one of them for a Bomb than Welker nickel and dime our defense all day.

Short week- against a team that is firing on all cylinders dying to shut us up.

0-2 here we come. happy tuesday morning.

were going to get shit on.

Schottenheimer has completely broken the kid's confidence. Rewatch the games from week 1-3 from last year. We no longer have that.

What we have is a broken kid scared as hell to throw even on 1-1 coverage. It's pathetic.

    I'm fine with 0-2. Even 1-3.

I just want to see some progression with Sanchez. This was never a "superbowl or bust" season for me.

The Jets have a good defense.

Do you think that defense is better than the Pats offense?

if more jets/fans were as realistic as you & not
so.. insincere, i wouldnt dislike jets/fans as much

its the acting like youve already won something
as ray said, you still have to play the game..

its not in my nature to hate but since sanchise
is the only "threat" to the pats winning another
division, i hope he continues to dink & dunk lol

youre asking me? well your defense is solid
you guys just need to put up 6s instead of 3s

i agree w/ the other thread & poster above
you cant play so conservative on offense
& expect for example, sanchise to improve
    ("take off the training wheels")

also, i wouldnt have "traded" thomas jones for a washed up LT

thats what rex & tananbum gets for trying to outsmart everyone

^something the pats have been guilty of too (seymour)
