The Lions have won 4 games in the last three calendar years and been a joke for the last decade. Insinuating that our fanbase has no clue about being hungy for wins is about the most off-base comment you could make in this particular instance. Face it, it was a bad example.

Because of the provisions of the uncapped year, there was no way to give him an extension in the offseason (I think I read that, as an example, if the team gave him a 40 million dollar contract they'd have to guarantee 36 million)
