Not all the time. A bad call on a long catch just outside the goaline down 4 with 2:02 left and no challenges left in the game can screw a team.
Not feeling really good about this game or the last game again the Fish, so as others have done, I will keep my BS to myself and hope for the best... ON a brigher note the Knicks are looking very promising this year and the season begins Sunday. With this start the Knicks have a chance to dish out a little payback to our favorite BEAN EATERS>>>>>>>
I think everyone is a little too concerned about this "awesome" Giants pass rush. it's good ... but not nearly as scary as some are making it out to be. The numbers are there for everyone to see after 14 games: #10 in sacks ... not bad (Philly is #1 btw) Now go check out where they are in opponents passing yards per game, opponents completion %, opponents passer rating, opponents passing yards per attempt, opponents rushing yards per attempt, opponents 3rd down conversions, opponents offensive ppg ... In everything you want your defense to be good at, they rank near the BOTTOM of the league. Obviously, EVERYONE has had success throwing and scoring against them. It shouldn't be any harder for us. They might get a couple of sacks, but by and large we should have a field day moving the ball and scoring points against that defense, both through the air, and on the ground. I see us scoring like we did in the two buffalo games. They're basically the Bills with a better pass rush. our bigger concern is slowing down that passing game. If we can do that, we should win the game.
If Schotty isn't out on a mission to demonstrate how much Wayne Hunter sucks one on one this week, we may be okay. But, this (his) offense gets us into 3rd and longs, Sanchez waits too long/reads one guy, Plax isn't blowing anyone away, LT is our best pass catcher and consistent blocker, and we're against a good pass rush, there is just a certain recipe for shitting the bed after a gas station burrito buried in there. All it takes is one turnover in bad field position and it takes our offense out of its comfort zone, and we have to rely more on passing. However, this is the Jets. We'll probably win this one in heart attack fashion and some crazy shit will go down week 17 with the Dolphins.
I really don't think we'll be in too many 3rd and longs, because the Giants are giving up an embarrassing 4.5 yards per carry. I expect Greene to have a big day tomorrow, and I expect Sanchez to be able to hit some long plays off play action ... which is probably his biggest strength. Perception is a powerful thing, but these are not the 2007 Giants. The numbers don't lie ... this Giant defense is God-awful ... One of the worst in the league. Pick any defensive stat you want, and then take a look at where the Giants rank ... you'll notice time and time again, your eyes darting to the bottom of the list. We have some issues on defense, but we look like The Steel Curtain compared to them. If we don't gift wrap turnovers for them, we'll do very well tomorrow.
this one is for Mossachusetts and any other trolls stinking up this place Jets 27 Midgets 14 and a massive career ending injury to Tammi Brady
After the game, it will be referred to as Jetlife Stadium, let's call that a prediction and leave it at that.
The Jets come on the field to the boo's from the crowd because of the result of the eagles game. They will be going into the locker room with same boo's and will be 2/3 on their way to finishing 0-3. It doesn't matter what the score is cuz the Giants will have at least one more than the Jets.
Why do I bother? I thought this was a prediction thread? I guess to you a jets fan should predict all wins? Unfortunately I'm a realist.
