agree jd. i usually have a bad feeling with the jets so it shouldn't surprise anyone. blue team - 31-21
Jets 31, Giants 17. Unlike last week, where I didn't like the matchup for the Jets at all, I feel the opposite this week. No Ballard means no TE matchup problem and Revis, Cromartie and Wilson will do a good job on the Giant WR's. Jets offense will do enough and don't underestimate Burress return against the Giants.
The Jets are coming off 3 straight wins, then a terrible loss on the road against a bad match-up. The Giants are coming off a blowout at home against the Redskins and overall losing 5 of 6 and the win was when they were down 12 in Dallas and blocked a field goal at the end. The Jets are the better team, not just record wise. Gotta prove it Saturday.
Yea I think our defense matches up much better against the Giants than Eagles. Eagles were too fast. Giants run the ball hard up the gut which is what we can stop. Their TE is slow as hell and might not play. Their wrs are good but we have the corners to handle them. On offense the Giants have a great Dline but awful linebackers and secondary. Lets not forget they are like the 28th ranked defense. I hope to see us run the ball often through those LBs.
I predict that Brandon Jacobs will be ejected in the third quarter for punching someone in our front 7.
If the Jets were playing a top team, I'd pick them to lose. If they were playing a bottom rung team, I'd pick them to win. Unfortunately, the Jets this year are lumped in with so many teams in the middle of the pack, it's impossible to say. The Giants are also an average, middle of the pack team. I really have no idea how this will go. All I know is I LOATHE the Giants and will be pulling hard for the Big Green.
I can see us winning this one, 27-21, and then shitting the bed when we need it the most v. Matt Moore's Dolphins.
I think both teams are very close. I don't think you can say one is clearly better than the other. The giants are coming off of losing 5 of 6, but look at the teams they faced. SF, Phi, NO, GB, Dal, and Was. Washington is the only team on that list that you could consider bad, but they have been playing much better lately. The giants beat the patriots and almost beat GB. This is going to be a very tough game and I just don't feel good about it. The good news is that I think we will still get in the playoffs even with a loss here. All we have to do is beat the dolphins, and I think we get in. Denver will win the West, and Oak and Ten will not win 9 games. The bengals will lose to Bal in week 17 and end up with 9 wins, but we will hold the tie breaker. Not the way you want to get in, but in is in and anything can happen.
We are 6-1 at home. I know its not a road game for the Giants but we still play much better at home. Our D matches up well against the Giants. If we can protect Sanchez we win the game.
I don't think I'm going out on a limb here predicting that this will be a sloppy, penalty filled. mistake filled game. Both teams are unbelievably inconsistent and unpredictable. I'm calling for a tie, that would be appropriate. I have this sick feeling that the refs are going to play a big part too, with roughing the passer and pass intereference type calls killing us. I'm still not sure I even want to watch this game and potentially ruin my weekend.
The Patriots ripped us a new one with Andre Carter. And they're the 32nd. Sanchez made Ninkovich look like a probowler. Not that that's what's gonna happen this game. Just sayin' you can't count on perceptions because we match up badly against shit players/JAGs that we shouldn't.
17-14 Jets. I really don't see this being a high scoring game. Usually when our D gives up a lot of points Rex has those boys ready to play next week. I do see the giants getting a few sacks though those pass rushers are extremely talented over there mainly concerned about JPP more then Tuck.
I never said anything about their pass rush. Our defense matches up really well against their offense is what I was saying. Then I said we need to run the ball all day to win this game.
cant really make a prediction with this team anymore based upon the fact that you never know which Jets team will show up. I do however think this is a huge game for the Rex Ryan era. Of course bc of playoff implications but if we go out there and get smoked its going to sting...a lot. Rex started this "our town" shit years ago and its finally come to a head. Marks in the W/L columns are the most important but I would think a teams mentality is second. They need to win this game... The Giants secondary isnt the greatest but then again our QB made the Pats secondary look like a collection of hall of famers. The Giants can rush the passer and JPP has been playing lights out. We've seen DBrick struggle this year so thats a huge match up. Also I fully expect them to try and bitch Wayne Hunter as much as possible. Sanchez is going to have to get the ball out quickly. Play Chad ball and dink and dunk em if you have to. Lets get Eric Smith some lighter shoes so he can run down whoever he will be chasing a little bit faster. I see it being tight to the very end. Its going to come down to who makes the last mistake. It would be magical to be the team that offically ends the Giants season.
We are 6-1 at home. The Giants have been bad at the Meadowlands (losing to the Seahawks, Redskins, Eagles(without Vick), Packers,.... The Giants are also 1-5 over their last 6 games. They are on a downward spiral, they dont matchup well against us. All signs indicate to us winning. Jets 24 Giants 14. If we lose, it will be a huge failure on so many levels.
if shonn green runs for over a 100 yards and we stop the Giants running game and hold them to like 60 yards well win this one
