Running the shit out of the ball would seem to make sense, especially when we have success doing it, but I predict we throw the ball 70 times and win 7-6. I have no clue what our offensive identity is and neither does anyone else.
That's a weird NFL myth. When an NFL team is 2-0 during the regular season, then plays the same team again in the playoffs, they are 12-7.
I'm another Dolphins fan. I'm a big Sean Smith fan but he's not playing well this year as I expected. Vontae is playing really well now. They're actually a very good CB tandem. And the linebackers and DL are really playing well. The Dolphins defense is definitely good enough to carry this game. Actually the Dolphins are playing with the blueprint the Jets claim. Stout defense, strong running game with Reggie Bush and a good enough QB in Matt Moore. Dolphins are playing really good football now, much better than at the beginning of the season. It should be a good game.
It's also illogical. Why would prior positive performance somehow turn into a negative result? The entertainment value of that game would be amazing.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Are you THEEEE New England Patriots? I do not believe that we are able to be graced by the presence of the New England Patriots on the Gang Green message board.
The Miami Dolphins practiced without two key starters on Thursday, raising the possibility that tailback Reggie Bush and inside linebacker Karlos Dansby won’t play in Sunday’s season finale against the New York Jets.
I know Reggie got banged up towards the end of last weeks game. Had no idea Dansby was hurt also. I would think Reginald would play because it looked pretty minor, although an ankle sprain can linger. I have no idea about Dansby but if he doesn't play that is really going to hurt our defense. He's arguably the heart of it. We really need him. Reggie being out will also hurt alot. Those 2 have arguably been our offensive and defensive MVP's this year. I really hope they play because that will really hurt our team if they dont.
After Shoddy is canned, it's likely he will get picked up by another team who believes that he was hamstrung by a below average QB and talent. Where is the beef for ground and pound? Without an adequate running game and OL, Sanchez is exposed. He can't carry a team. Rex has a pound it mentality, but the Jets need a lot more finesse to win with this talent.
Reggie Bush (knee) was ruled out for Week 17 versus the Jets after missing a third straight practice on Friday. Bush downplayed the knee soreness and is walking without a limp, but at least one beat writer categorized the injury as a "sprain." Now a candidate for 20 touches, Daniel Thomas has low-end RB2 value for Week 17. A more decisive inside runner in his first season with the Dolphins, Bush finishes with a career-high 1,086 yards on 216 carries in 15 games. We're still skeptical that he can stay healthy through 16 games as a feature back. - Rotoworld
Ahhhh..... it's all starting to fall into place. SUPERBOWL HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111!!!!!11111!!!!!!
Sorry, Prolly wrong thread, but wanted to make sure I understand... Jets r in if: Win against "squish the fish", Titans lose, Bengals lose. Thing I want to clarify is if; It doesnt matter who loses Denver or Oakland, as long as one of them does, is that correct?
No Long is a more impactful than no Bush... God I wonder how many sacks were are gonna give up tomorrow...
My heart says the Jets win a tight one and then wait to see what happens in Cincinnati. My head says the Dolphins can apply a lot of pressure to the QB and the Jets cannot pass protect well and neither Sanchez nor Schotty can improvise well enough in the absence of a pocket to avoid another bad offensive showing. I think we're looking at 21-17 Dolphins.
