I think they know whats about to hit them. The Jets are most likely revving up to unleash an ass whooping.
I think that at the end of the day, the Patriots need to lose one of their two divisional game in order for the Jets to win a tie breaker. I think if the Pats lose one of the next two games and win their other 3, they'd get the tiebreaker somewhere.
ME TOO! Especially after we got blown out, I figured they'd be in here talking shit for days. Conversely, however, this thread has been surprisingly dead re: Jets fans too. It's a very odd feeling to a Jets/Dolphins game for me.
I'm sure it has everything to do with the Browns loss. They must want to stop by so bad, but after that performance they have no right. Henne with 3 picks vs the Browns.
I'm sure they've forgotten about that by now. After all, the media forgot the waxing the pats took at the hands of Mangenious.
Yeah, I know. Both sets of fans are in shock. It occurs to me, however, as bad as I feel about the loss to the Pats, that the Jets lost both games to the fish last year, which was the single worst thing about last year. So if the Jets sweep this year, that is certainly by one measure of success the makings of a great year. So if we get no SB win, sweeping hated Miami at least makes up for some of that.
This isn't a good omen. Clarence Clemons is doing the National Anthem @ the game. I love The Boss. Love The E Street Band. But this was tweeted by him on 11/14: At the Dolphin game predicting a big win today. Go Dolphins! http://plixi.com/p/56944754 I hope he is just a fan of the game and a fan of whatever home team he plays for. If he's truly a Dolphin fan, it seems like the Dolphins are getting too much love in NY this week. Giants accommodations, great seats to the Lombardi play and now a possible fan playing in enemy territory? Way to take a hard line with the opposition.
Yeah, unless the Pats somehow drop both the games to the Bears and Pack and we win out, we need them to lose at Buffalo or vs Miami. Seems unlikely, but you never know.
THat's the scary fact. Maybe...just maybe we've seen all this team can be as currently constituted. Rex has taken after Schotty once before. Beat bad teams by the short and curlies....come up short against upper echelon teams. Really....in order to be 'who we thought we were' we need to win out, and win easily in the last two division games.
iam a dolphin fan, The game against new england showed me something about Sanchez that excited me for future matchup's against him... Ive watched him compete against us for a few times now, I think i see what needs to happen for him to play at a high level... Misdirection, and play action is how we've got beat by him, when he has the defense off balance he plays well, when your cordinator can stay one step ahead, his skillset is on display {incredible footwork, good speed of motion, good ball handler}...the thing is, if we can hold our gaps and stay disciplined against him, not fall for that stuff, his glaring flaw will be exposed...His arm is a little suspect, he cant make all the throws.. I would like to sit back in zone, and let our very good dline and cam wake do their thing.
I'am looking at him as just a player making a projection on..sure he can zip the ball here and there, short intermediate stuff... but the ball doesn't always come off his hand with velocity on the deeper stuff..and the fears about wind and poor elements certainly are legit in his case for his future...he really threw up some lolliballs in new england..almost looks like there is a slight hitch when the ball comes off his hand when he throws deep? Really just nitpickin, I worry more about defending your scheme...it was always one step ahead the last time we faced each other..the deception made us look silly on D at times...hope we learned our lesson..
I wouldn't use the NE game for measuring anything about the Jets. As much as it pissed me off and the rest of Jet fans, it was just "one of those games" that is not likely to happen again anytime soon.
iam not, just evaluating the QB for future reference..I just saw some ball flight issues that were somewhat indicting on his ceiling, and getting more clarity as to how we should defend him.
