Yes we need to destroy the fins! But we need to beat the Steelers and Bears in order to redeem ourselves in this league. But one week at a time. I'm still bummed about last night.
Everyone I know is like ok we should be able to finish the rest of the way 2-2.We should beat our division foes.Love how everyone is just assuming loss's to the Steelers and Bears. We really only need like 2 more wins though but man we gotta beat a team with a winnin record!
Henne has played way better than he really is against us two out of three times. Last time though, we obviously missed revis because Marshall torched us. this time around i think that bum's confidence is so low right now that he won't have his dan marino incarnation against us
Henne? I've seen this guy play. He's hot and cold... Mostly cold. He's one of the 5 worse QB's in the NFL. All the games from here out, are must win for the Jets, however Miami won't put up a fight for 60 min.
People that talk about how we should kill other teams every few weeks is starting to piss me off. We havent killed anyone this year except a mildly retarded Buffalo team. The Dolphins always play us tough and this Sunday will be no different. And dont give me this "defense should be blood thirsty" shit...they should have been blood thirsty Monday night but instead they took it in the ass for 60 minutes. Should we win this one...yep. Do I think we will...yep. Will it be easy...not for a second. They match up against us well and I see this one being close well into the 4th quarter. At this time I feel this game will pretty much make or break our season. If we lose this one not only will there be multiple suicides on TTG but the "SOJ", "we're fucked" talk will be raging. A loss here could be a disaster. That would put us at 9-4 with road games against Pitt and the Bears...both elite defenses and we know how Sanchez and this offense play against elite defenses.
Yeah, the level of confidence and non-chalance about this game in this thread has shocked me. Not for nothing, but (1) Dolphins are not the Panthers (2) Henne and their RBs tend to bring their Montana/Smith games against us (3) our defense was fucking demoralized and (4) we have struggled against lesser teams than the Dolphins. Add the injuries and shitty safety play, piss poor offensive playcalling this late in the season, and while I am hopefully and fairly convinced we will win, I don't see why people are overlooking this game.
Good thing we shut the run down. With Revis back, Marshall will be a non-factor this game. Cro on Bess and hopefully SCHOTTY has a reall Big Boy gameplan.
Marshall is gimpy anyway, that was what I meant, the Fins strength is the running game. Jets can put 8 in the box, cover their receivers one on one and dominate. I cannot see this being a loss unless something whacky happens.
There running game hasnt really been that well recently. They rebounded a bit last game but Ronnie Brown has lost a step. There was one game where I think they had only like 8 rushing attempts all game. Also the Phins love to let Henne air it out against us since the robot can sit in the pocket all day.
I'm out, good luck Good luck and see ya in the AFCCG. Chicago is going to kick our ass acording to Bear Nation. I'm sure that will be just dandy with NY. I guess they have the Pats figured out, and will expose Brady as a fraud. I'll leave you with a tid bit of there revelation... Very possible the Pats will win. But if you think Brady is as good under pressure as Cutler is, then me point out some objectivity. UNDER PRESSURE, Tom Brady is not even in the same class as Jay Cutler. Not even close. Sure he can sit back in his nice little pocket and pick you apart and Pats fans can wet their pants anytime he throws more than 2 TD's in a game. Happens a lot in his cozy little pocket. However, you just get in his grill and get some hits on him, and Tom Brady is VERY average. In fact a local Pats STRONG supporter used more derogatory words for that description when he's under pressure. If we don't get pressure on him, I would be surprised if we won. So that takes care of the QB thing. There are still 2 other phases of the game that account for roughly 1/2 of the 60 minutes of play; defense and special teams. Would you like to play that game here? Special Teams? Wouldn't think so. How about defense? The Pats are not even in our class, not even close. They are 31st in the league in Total Yards, total stats, and pass defense. We are 3rd, 3rd and 13 in pass defense. Totals points allowed we are 3rd (again) and they are, HEY!, up to 18th! They are only 4 behind us in sacks and only 3 behind us in turnovers. Against the rush they are 19th; we are 2nd. Having said that, this will be a tough challenge for the Bears. We haven't defended their offense and they haven't played against our defense. I hardly call this a class separation situation though. Being a season ticket holder, I am sure you love the Bears like I do.
Its going to be a very close game and I wont be surprised if either team wins. Both are hot right now and fighting for their division.
Perfectly stated. What about the Jets this year, especially coming off last week, makes people foresee a blowout in this game? I think they will win as well, but it'll probably be decided by 7 or less.
