Jets are capable of running this ball normally and picking up yards. No need to do risky crap like that for rushing plays. Especially since it's a play with potential for big loss & Jets are right @ edge of FG range.
Come on man, the shovel pass play is a quick play call, not something you can read and check down out of once the ball is snapped. It's bang bang. You don't go thru reads with that call.
