The Jet's had Courtney Smith in for a visit before the draft, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

    Solid signing!!

My Top 3 FA signings that should make the team and at least the Practice Squad.

Nick Bellore, ILB.........should be an excellent ST player and depth is needed at ILB. Tackling machine!! Lack of solid ILB depth helps Bellore.

    Zane Taylor C/OG....Versatile player......Bill C favorite...

Courtney Smith, WR....Big player....let's see if we sign Holmes and Edwards, before he makes the roster.

Smith's main competition for a roster/PS spot will be Patrick Turner.

Taylor might stick around since we don't have any young cheap backup for our OL.

Bellore can develop into our much needed back up ILB. We've been very lucky our starting duo has remained healthy these 2 yrs.

I was shocked that Zane Taylor wasn't drafted.

Bellore is a football player, great instincts, solid tackler, isn't a fluid athlete. I've been screaming for ILB depth for a few years. Bellore will work his ass off and impress Rex.

Zane Taylor would be a good back up for Mangold and solid depth in the guard spots.

Callahan loved this kid and I'm sure played a big part in signing him. Nice to have some depth and competition on the O-line.

Which gives us some flexibility with Turner (although I'd like to see him return)

The Jets have more UDFAs on their team than any other top team (IIRC) and so I always get a bit overexcited by these prospects even though almost none of them make the cut.

This year there's a chance more of them stick around since we're gonna be near the cap just re-signing Holmes and somebody else

i don't think he means guys we signed... but guys who went undrafted and currently are playing on our team...

three right off the top of my head, Jim leonhard, Mike devito and bart scott. I think Brandon Moore was also undrafted....
