Thats past GMs, you learn from your history and this GM has nothing to do with Jets history when picking players. Successful teams do this. If you dont you wont be sucessful. im not saying that it will happen though. Then you let the serviceable ones go get their paycheck elsewhere and gain comp picks. Just so far the method to get there is working, next up is the execution. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
Name the last Jets 6th round pick to make the Pro Bowl or better yet do anything significant. Most Jets 6th round picks have a new carrer at this point. There were no winners with this trade....
Braden Mann, 2020? Bless Austin, 2019? Quincy Enunwa, 2014? Even IK Enemkapali, 2014 "did something significant" for this franchise. Hell, the Jets are more effective with their 6th round picks than they are with their 2nd round picks by a wide margin!
Not by the Jets, but there was a 6th round pick, who did OK for himself: played QB in NFL for a few years and married a supermodel. Whoever that may be, we are talking 6th vs 7th round pick here. 6th is better.
I think there will be 5 good/serviceable players out of this year's draft. We already have Becton and Mann. I believe that Mims will definitely be. I'll be surprised and disappointed if two of Davis, Zuniga, Clark, Hall, and Morgan don't turn out to be. There's also Cager and the other UDFAs the Jets signed. We could wind up with 6-7 players that fit that description.
Bless Austin? I wouldnt count him.Enunwa was good but couldnt stay healthy...Who the fuck is Braden Mann?
