Inept prosecution team and the best defense money could buy. If OJ hadn't gotten off it would have been the upset of all time. Having Mark Fuhrman be the chief prosecution witness wasn't so good either. He was convicted of perjury for his testimony after the case, spawning the widespread use of the term "testi-lying". BTW none of the above should be taken as an indication of how I feel about the case. OJ was guilty.
Agreed and agreed. Throw in a community service and 2 games to save face and in a few months everyone forgets. ;-) Trade next years 2nd. 5th and Ainge for Boldin for good measure. Tell EA to add B. Smith into the QB category for my Madden game and everyone's happy. Let's get 'er done.
Let him play the longest yard in the clink. His attitude sucks, why would it change now? It won't. He had what, a thirty second window in his entire career when he wasn't being a lazy turd? Add self-entitled and non-compliant. Albeit he saved me from purging as opposed to puking on Feb. 3rd, 2008 for about just as long, but keep in mind that the alternative to the Patriots winning vs. the Giants winning was the minor difference between puking naturally or sticking a Popsicle stick down my throat to help things along. So he says all of these catchy things in the post-game and this analyst and that analyst says how he changed his attitude blah blah, and surprise, surprise, he pulls 'I'm too sexy for my coach'. Can't make a phone call?! Never learns? Retarded? You've got to be kidding. He couldn't even shoot himself in the FOOT, while we're at it. I'm too tired to rant properly. Too much chocolate, too little time, but hell no. Vaya con Dios, Plaxico. Don't forget to write.
Thanks for the compliments... I look at it this way. Everybody is quick to annoint Eli Manning this great QB because he won a SB. The truth is Eli is 73-71 in his career as a starting QB. they were 8-1 last year in games he played with the only loss coming at Cleveland in that MNF game. The Giants have won 37 regular season games in the 4 years he played for them out of a possible 57 games. I think that means he was a pretty big weapon for them and was certainly a big part of the reason they won a SB. That being said I think it's a moot point because he'll be in jail in a few months.
I find it amazing they made an attempt to speak to this perp than to make an attempt and sign torry holt which could've been an instant leader in the locker room.
Would fill a great need at receiver and Plax is a elite receiver... But his attitude is sometimes questionable and with all these chargers against him i would have to pass on him. Doesn't seem like a very smart move to make.
Well, it's confirmed in both the Post and the News, the Jets have spoken with Plaxico's agent Drew Rosenhaus. If somehow he gets out of this gun thing, he could be a Jet soon. If not, I guess he shot himself in the foot. Hee hee
If these charges are dropped...I say we go for Plax. Ryan has dealt with a Ray Lewis, so Im sure he can deal with this dude too.
Plaxico Question I just got back from class and my roommate told me that chris mortensen reported the jets are talking about signing plaxico, if anyone has any info on this, please help me out, thanks
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4103703 there is the article he was talking about, sorry for using a thread for this if it bothers anyone
There is a thread on this board already, but it moved onto the second page Read what everybody thinks here http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=44845
Even if he somehow escaped jail time which he won't he would still get suspended and it would probably be a long one.
If he doesn't go to big boy jail, he will prob go to football jail. no way of knowing how long a sentence he gets.
On the field he'd be an incredible addition. If he can stay out of trouble and not cause any problems it would be a great signing and would really help out the offense. We're really only one more playmaking receiver away from having a pretty damn good offense. That being said, those are huge if's....we've been a pretty bold and aggressive team and if Plax ends up not going to jail it wouldn't surprise me to see him on the Jets
besides the fact that he may go to jail didnt he shoot himself in the thigh whose to say he wont be walking with a limp the rest of his life let alone running routes like he did in the past... he would have to pass a physical which seems unlikely in my eyes
