tough call, but I'd say olinemen are easier to find. maybe it's the fact that the positions on the oline don't change much from college to nfl, must adjust to speed and strength, but the skills are roughly the same. look at what the jets did with brandon moore, i think it's tougher for an olineman to make a transition to dt, if it was the opposite case.
Mark Brown is no longer a Jet. He was never re-signed. And Thomas is still a DE as far as I know. Any "reported" move to LB is just speculation by fans. Until I see an official depth chart from the team or hear it from Mangini himself, Thomas is still a DE. The Jets currently have Vilma, Barton, Hobson, Chatham, Kassel, McClover, and Wright (I am not sure if they re-signed him, he was a UFA) on the roster.
he worked with pete kendall in arizona. good chemistry signing. they know each other well. 8 year starter? is that right? he should fit in RIGHT away. i 'member when D green released him last year, i brought up his name as a possible signing, tho' i admit, i didn't know much about him at the time. I think Green cut him in the same fashion he cut Kendall.... not because of lack of talent, or contract dispute or anything, but more because he was a leftover from the losing seasons. Ironically... Clement signed with the 9er's.
