If they are going to move Law all over the place wouldn't it make sense for him to play the nickel?

What?? How? He's going to see limited time in the slot and might get a few reps at Free safety. I really think you people are overreacting to this. For all of the reasons I have already laid out, it actually makes a lot of sense.

If Law took Revis' # thats really team first right there... fucking piece of shit.

If he gives up a TD, send Gholston after his knees.

This piece of shit better not fuck up the good vibes on this team.

I'm really not happy.... No one picks you up for 9 games, and you walk on the team and get "your number??" BULLSHIT. Revis is better than Law. If he even alters that locker room to what it is now I want him gone.

Know your place Ty, you're a fucking JAG, late addition free agent. You don't impress anyone at this stage in your career.

You play sparingly thursday, and you stay the fuck out of the way.

They will. He'll most likely primarily play the slot receiver on 3rd down and get a few snaps at free safety.

I agree that our secondary is the weakest link of our team...But my question, and maybe you know the answer, is why has he been sitting home playing Madden 09 on his Xbox? There are a TON of bad teams this year, with horrific corners. I would just think that if he had any value to add, he would have been scooped up by now?

now dont hold back tell him what you think about him for real.

the number thing has to be a misprint. read the quote it makes no sense "he is wearing 22 representing me" 22 doesnt represent law at all.

There is no risk to this move. None whatsoever. Stop with the emotional reactions.

Eric Mangini was a fucking defensive backs coach. I think he can figure out who his best DB's are better than the armchair GM's on TGG.

The Jets have 53 players, and I'm willing to bet at least a few of them are as much of an asshole as Ty Law is. It'll be fine.

Two obvious reasons come to mind . . .

    1) Ty Law is a rich fuck who doesn't want to bust his ass and play for a bad team at 34 years of age. He only wants to play for a contender. He's sitting at home (playing X-box as you say) and sees the Jets start to play really well and they happen to give him a call . . .

    2) He could possibly have a relationship with Mangini that he doesn't have with many other current head coaches (and he just got done playing for Herm) being that Mangini coached him for years in NE.

I'll throw a third one out there because I am in a great mood. Maybe he just got the itch to play in the middle of the season like every other recently retired professional athelete does???

What is the risk exactly? That we miss out on Drew Coleman's massive production?

this just doesn't feel right... its like that douche that comes back to the team and nearly fucks it up in those sport movies.

I hope your are right. Law should be wearing #21 or w/e and not 24. He better keep his head down and understand that he is the equivalent of Poteat and Brad Smith - role players who have no leadership credit on this team... he better know his place.

Calm down people. This is not a major move, you're all overreacting. And most of you are angry that he's gonna take Revis' jersey number! (Even though it doesn't say anywhere that he will, but WHO CARES about jersey numbers!) We have the biggest game since who knows when coming up in 3 days, and you're all worried about Revis' #24.

Revis should not have to give up his number #24. I will be very disappointed if it's true.

i bet law doesn't see a flag on at least 2 p.i. penalties called on lowery recently.
